I'm perfectly lonely.

Cuz I don't belong to anyone; nobody belongs to me!

I hate cold wind. Ewwww. My hands are delicate flowers (lol) in the cold, far more sensitive than other people's I've noticed... Annoying. Numbness and pins and needles and fire.

sad thing is North Koreans are pretty much all brainwashed into thinking that they have it the best out of anyone in the world, and that we (americans) are pure evil cuz we believe in capitalism. Crazy right? They are all brainwashed into thinking they have it perfect and that everyone else is evil. It is really sad.

Well, I don't think they're too brainwashed, because thousands of them still defect to China or South Korea every year. (Better off defecting to SK, as they've been granting asylum to refugees from NK since 2004, while China deports all that they find back to NK, where they can be tortured till they die at the camps described in the link I posted. The border with SK is much more heavily guarded, though, and the guards shoot to kill. Most don't make it that way.) They know that life is better elsewhere. Outside of Pyongyang, which is nearly a ghost town and only contains the extremely elite and pure (those who've had no family members, ever, be suspected of disloyalty to the party), they are all starving to death. And even without the starvation, that life is just... Wow.

The thing, though, is that, yeah, a lot of the propaganda, most of it really, is specifically anti-American... I still think, though, that outside of Pyongyang, where all the grass and animals are long gone, if we came with food... A lot of them would still be pretty hostile, I am sure, in the sense that when we do drop leaflets over NK letting them know that, uh, we're not evil, the people are told that they are laced with poison and not to touch them, and they believe it. But as far as fighting us off... Meh. It would take them a while to warm up to the idea of having Americans help them, but I think they'd all come around eventually. If the wonderful leader and propaganda that blares from speakers that cannot be shut off in every dwelling 24/7 lie about one thing, surely the rest cannot be trusted.

People know when they are being dehumanized. They know it.

The anti-US propaganda is truly hilarious, though, some of it. The posters and graphics everywhere... It's like, "Uh, OK. Just bomb us already if that's how you feel." Yeesh.

And I hate that the American media essentially caricatures Kim Jong-Il as an insane, crazy old man whose threats to nuke us are just hilarious. That's not how it is.

I had a dream last night that I witnessed a guy get down on one knee and propose to his girlfriend and she said "NO". It was really awkward...even though it was only a dream.

Just found out an 8-10 page paper originally due Thursday got bumped back to Tuesday. Delicious.

Edit:
Do not want talking about what will happen when somebody dies only to have him commit suicide the next day. :scared-eek:

Tomorrow I get to figure out what classes I'll be taking next semester, and then Thursday is registration. I hate registration. It's like a race for some classes. At least there's none that I HAVE to take. My advisor was basically like, "Well, you're doing really well. Looks like you're set to take any classes you want next semester!" I'm thinking three psych classes, a science, and macroeconomics... Yeeeaaaah.

That happened to me today. Yesterday I was having a conversation and brought up what it would be like when somebody died, what would happen, and today he committed suicide. Biggest "WUT AHHHHHH WUT AHHHHH" moment of my life.

I forgot how excellent Tracy Chapman's first album is.

Also my eight-year-old brother has solos in two different Christmas concerts, and I will be here for both of them, obviously unable to attend. He thinks I'm awesome and really wants me to be there, and I love that kid, but stupid school. :(

Well. That was the latest I'd ever been to the store yet while here. 2:15 in the morning. The employees were like, "'K."

I got my aforementioned brother + the ten-year-old one candy, though. :D And truffles for my mother. Yaaaay. I love having little brothers at that age. They think that I am seriously the coolest person in the world, though the ten-year-old has maybe a year left of thinking that. Not really, though. We're too far apart in age for that to happen. (Although, my ten-year-old brother doesn't seem to flat-out idolize me like the youngest one; he still thinks I'm awesome, though. Ah, I love those kids.)I've seen the same dynamic in other sibling relationships. As long as the relationships are good, if there's more than a five-year difference, don't have to worry about one suddenly hating the other as oftentimes happens for a few years growing up when they're closer in age. And I can't wait for my youngest brother to grow up... He's quite a bit like I was when I was that age, just not nearly as openly sensitive (he could be in secret; I've learned to internalize it) or as shy. He definitely prefers having conversations with kids at least 4-5 years his senior, too. I want to know if it'll stay that way. If it does, I'll feel bad for the kid lol. It's always been rough, separate.

It's just so much fun having them. My other brothers, too, but I'm not as close to them, even though we're closer in age. It's cool to see my influence on the younger ones, too.

......Aaaaaaaaanyway. That got long. I think I am just excited to go home and hang out with them. We're going to the movies, and they won't know it till we "go on a walk."
