The cap hits don't go up until the extensions take effect next season.

It will be interesting to see if they try and make some moves at the deadline or if they do wait until after the season.

Barker and Sopel are likely gone.

The Hawks would love to move Huet and maybe Campbell.

Up front, I think Byfuglien & Sharp or Versteeg will likely get shopped.

It will be very hard to move Campbell because he has a no trade/movemet clause, I'd doubt Byfulglien will be shopped but I can see Sharp and Versteeg. Dave Bolland and Troy Brouwer might be also shopped around.

It all depends on whether they can get Brian to waive the NTC.......

Yup, good luck with that Chicago

I have a feeling that it will be harder to find a trade partner than to get Campbell to waive the NTC.

Looks like there will be a new conference on signing Kane, Toews, and Keith on Thursday

I heard Sharp will be one of the odd men out if they can sign all three.

campbell will not want to leave unless it is too a winning team, and most of the current winning teams do not have the cap space for a brian campbell, that would be my guess. i'd love to have guys like sharp and byfuglien on this team. i would take barker as well, as he is an offensive defenseman, even if i do think gragnani, brennan, and weber all deserve their shots at the big club.

According to the report, Toews and Kane will sign five-year contract extensions, while Keith has reportedly agreed to a 13-year deal.

No, Kane is holding off signing so he can come to Buffalo.

I wonder if the majority of HSBC will boo him? I know on WGR he pleaded not to get booed. I don't know, I'm a little indifferent on it.

They're very good; but are either great? Makes the Campbell and Huet signings look even worse than when they were first signed....

Seriously. That Campbell signing is looking absolutely horrendous right now. There's no way they can deal him, either, with that salary. Stupid.

i'd rather play gragnani than have campbell come back and be another over paid player on our team. if you want a veteran offensive defenseman actually worth the cash dan Boyle, or scotty Niedemeyer. (sorry to botch the names. i would take byfuglien or barker off their hands though.
