Hope you're not talking about tonight. Vanek, like EVERYONE ELSE on the team, played horrid tonight.

He played one of those "offense only" games tonight. We know what he can do offense wise, but he was a pylon on defense tonight.

On the 3rd goal, he was supposed to replace the pinching defensemen, and he did a bad job at it. He let the guy BLOW right past him for the goal.

Lazy play.

I wish we had a hockey oppotunity in my area like he's made. My daughter isn't doing Varsity hockey this year because she wanted to do youth hockey so she could learn more, then go back to Varsity her junior year. So, TI Youth Hockey went and made the cap age on the girls 14 (my daughter's 15) and tell everyone that calls about older girls to join the Varsity team. We hated the varsity team. So clicky and she learned nothing. On Youth Hockey she learned TONS. On Varsity, we drive for hours and hours to a game so that she can sit and open the door for the girls that get to play. I understand, but its kind of a waste of time for us. Anyway...

I love Vanek and think its great he's doing this for kids....as long as it doesn't distract from his day job.
