If you're going to hate on him when his play is bad, and he's been worthy of the hate, it's only fair to give him credit when he steps his play up.

So far tonight, his play has been better. Not where I think most feel he should be, but better.

Much better tonight than as of late. He's obviously under the microscope, but compared to the last say, 5 games or so, he's playing with more jump in his game. Does this mean we can all stop ripping on him? Well, I'd like to see a few games with this kind of jump before we say he's back. Not sure if he got into Roy's stash, but what ever he had before they game (some orange juice, a redbull or crack) it's working so far.

Vanek I'll judge after the season. He can go on streaks where he'll average a goal a game for 10 - 15 games. I believe he has over 60 games left to pick up his pace......

I never hate Squanto, I just say it the way it is. But his play improvement is not really an improvement at all, he has always been a hands guy. I don't dislike him, I dislike the fact that he drags down the line he plays on by the very nature of his play. I would take a guys that will put in a solid 20 a season and works 5x as hard as this guy. Just sayin what needs to be said.

3. I don't see how you figure he'll score when all he does is throw it at the torso of the Goalie, someone define this with specifics please.

eh, i just disagree. vanek is a key cog to this teams success. vanek half assing it is still better then 80% of the league. when hes on, its about 95%

Vanek's cap hit is $7.1M. Most teams would have a hard time clearing out that much cap space in order to take the guy.
