1 mistake and its tied, but Butler has nothing to hang his head about. He is still young and we should expect things like this from time to time.
But offensively, we fuckin blow. Man, I really mean this............

We need offensive help, I ain't kidden guys and gals. I will say this and you have seen it in my posts over and over again. We are just 1 or 2 key players away from a real contender.

I want Kolvachuck, now come on, how can you complain with that? I bet Connolly or Roy combined with Stafford and Kolvy would be just the fuckin CATS ASS!!!!!!!!!!

I posted this in the last GDT, but no one responded. I'm just curious about what you think about Goose. Do you think in a few years he will be the leader on and off the off that Drury was for us, and will he develop the clutchness that Drury had?

He once had an awkward moment, just to see how it feels.

He doesn't have the hands to be Drury and because of this he will never be the clutch player Drury is, but, Goose will be this teams captain in 1 or 2 years.

Who would do we have that we'd wanna give up for a player like Kolvy though? I mean they aren't gonna trade him for Hecht, Hank, and Lalime lol

No, Roy couldn't get the shot away.

The shot was pretty much behind roy.

You'd rather have Mac shoot and get it blocked and still result in a clear of the zone.

Mac tried that pass several times the other night and all of them ended up behind the intended receiver. It could be a great play if they can refine it. I'd say just shoot the puck and hope to get a rebound or maybe a goal..... The sabres had on 3 SOG that period. Not gonna win the game unless you get pucks on net

It can go both ways actually. He didn't have a shot so he tried to pass the puck to a guy coming in the zone.

Offensively we couldn't produce that period because we were on 4-on-5 for awhile early and wore us out. 4 minutes straight right off the bat.

But wen we got into the offensive zone, we couldn't be knocked off the puck for awhile.

This third period is going to be the real test, on where this team stands.

This will be a benchmark, on the next 20 games.

Do they step up, and pull the win out? Or are they still the same old "gotta get done, and get down to Chippewa" Sabres?

Seriously. Pulling out a win in regulation would be very convincing, tonight.

Has anyone noticed how almost all (if not all) of the Sabres rushes into the offensive zone start one of two ways:

1. staying to the outside
2. dumping the puck in

They really have a terrible time of carrying the puck in the middle or short dumpins that end up nowhere.
I suppose if they found a new talent that could solve these we would get alot more points. Just a guess though.

I traded Max, and I think two others for Ovechkin, just to see if I could.

- Zone entries need to be better.
- Retrievals on shoot ins are horrible.
- Their puck possession in the offensive zone once they do get it is terrible.

Hecht needs to drop another line, back to the third. He's a jerkoff on the second line.

How do you propose you can carry a puck in the zone against a team who plays a form of trap?
