You might be on to something, but I think relative is the simile - two things opposite each other.

One is quick, One is lazy

MotzieAK12? 13th alphabet = M
Motzie = UB (quick)
AK = Kotalik (lazy)

?? I don't even know whom I'm profiling any longer. Maybe I should drink :D

Why would UB be quick though?

He was the 12th captain. I originally thought it was him, as Stuuuu is a namesake as well.

SF4 - Not sure what Stuuuuu's connection to someone at UB could be. I have met him in person as has Howie & Ice, but that's it. None of us went to UB unless we did and forgot :shhh:

Maybe we're looking at the UB part wrong.

I mean, if we have it narrowed down to 6 people, the detectives could save all of the people that go to UB and we'd cover our bases.

Seems silly to give that clue and immediately give us the save.

I think the 13th letter/captain thing referred to the assassin's identity, not the victim.

Didn't they say a phrase would help figure out the numbers?

You're right. The 13th was about THEIR identity, not their victim's.

Here's the first clue about the victim:
Quote:
two relatives
one quick, one lazy
together they will
solve the code

53-33-11-83-23-31-34-23-81-81-91-33-73

3 days. protect wisely

It's not so simple, although it is. You have to be sly to figure it out. Or perhaps a little crazy. Think similes and you'll be on the right track. Find the right phrase and the confusion goes away.

53-33-11-83-23-31-34-23-81-81-91-33-73

In this sequence, 33-23-81 are posted twice each.

We're looking for a word/user name that has repeat letters in the underscores that are colored.

__ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __

In that sequence, only 1 number is an even number, and that's 34. Not sure if that means anything... just posting it to see if someone else will make a connection.

Not necessarily, remember ice's one hint was ATL victim two. So the string could be an abbreviation, or have the words victim, death, next, first, etc. in it. Though hopefully there's a username with those characters repeating. I like simple solutions, haha.

ive seen a namesake of the third captain in person.
1)The second captain served from 66-69,
2)with stints in 79, 82, 84, 86, 89, and 91. A run cut short at first. And 89 was a disaster.
3)The third from 86-93, sharing a surname from that who I've seen.
4)Stints too in 94, 96, 98, 02.
5)The first from 01-05. No stints. No one liked him much.

Now I know I'm crazy :shhh:

1) Star Trek The Original Series (1966–1969) After three seasons the show was canceled and the last original episode aired on June 3, 1969. (A run cut short at first). In 1964 Roddenberry made a proposal for the original Star Trek TV series. The shows first pilot was rejected by the network.

2)Star Trek:The Motion Picture December 7, 1979
The Wrath of Khan June 4, 1982
The Search for Spock June 1, 1984
The Voyage Home November 26, 1986
The Final Frontier June 9, 1989*
The Undiscovered Country December 6, 1991

*89 was a disaster -Box office performance
The Final Frontier grossed $52,210,049 in the U.S. and a combined $70,210,000 worldwide against a $27,800,000 budget. Though profitable, the film was considered a financial disappointment by many.

3) 86-93 Who's missing? What's the connection? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Trek

4) Star Trek: Generations November 18, 1994
First Contact November 22, 1996
Insurrection December 11, 1998
Nemesis December 13, 2002

5) No stints - William Shatner not in these films

WTH? Seriously, shoot me. Thinks it's a well known fact Rbochan is always posting the Star Trek face palms. ETA: Only myself, Howie, Ice, & MsRB would know that Rob and his friend (whom he referred to as Cap't Kirk) attended a small m-n-g.

Where are CV, Ice, & Sky? I need help with the assassin number clues :D

The Next Generation (1987–1994)
Main article: Star Trek: The Next Generation
Star Trek: The Next Generation, also known as "TNG", is set approximately a century after The Original Series. It features a new starship, the Enterprise-D, and a new crew led by Captain Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) and Commander William Riker (Jonathan Frakes). The series introduced alien races new to the Federation as crew members, including Deanna Troi, a half-Betazoid counselor played by Marina Sirtis, and Worf as the first Klingon officer in Starfleet, played by Michael Dorn. It also featured Gates McFadden as Dr. Beverly Crusher, LeVar Burton as chief engineer Geordi La Forge, and the android Data portrayed by Brent Spiner. The show premiered on September 28, 1987, and ran for seven seasons, ending on May 23, 1994.[29] Unlike the previous television outings, the program was syndicated instead of airing on network television. It had the highest ratings of any of the Star Trek series and was the #1 syndicated show during the last few years of its original run, allowing it to act as a springboard for ideas in other series. Many relationships and races introduced in TNG became the basis of episodes in Deep Space 9 and Voyager.[13] It was nominated for an Emmy for Best Dramatic Series during its final season. It also received a Peabody Award for Outstanding Television Programming for the episode "The Big Goodbye".[30]

Phil posted that bizzare picture of LeVar Burton in the picture thread!! :o

But if PSP's theory is true about the repeating letters, I don't think Phil would count since he only has one repeated letter in his username.

And while we are on the subject of Phil, I don't think he has posted in this thread yet . . . or has he . . . wait this is a victim clue isn't it?

Also there is a hockey player named Alexandre Picard . . . actually two, one on the Senators and one on the Blue Jackets of Columbus, which is where Phil wants to go for his birthday road trip!!!
