I have nothing more.
Nearly 12 hours in this thread off and on. My brain is fried and I almost stepped in dog shit

Maybe tomorrow

I hate numbers and I'm wondering why our numerical wizz kids (CV & Sky) are all of a sudden so reluctant to decipher; faining ignorance :o

Hey Schony, I have no idea what the numbers mean. I tried adding, subtracting, and multiplying and I've got nothing.

Dividing won't do any good either, since many will have remainders left. I'm lost in the whole number part.

There was one before Shatner (I think) - I posted about it earlier. It was a proposed series in 1964 with a different Captain that never went anywhere and picked up again in 66. If you were to assume there was one before Shatner, that would make Picard the third Captain and there are now two Picard's as NHL players. Remember, these are the clues to the assassin not the victim. The assassin says he has seen them.

Once I brought up Star Trek, the assassin has said he has studied the way I think and is concerned; I am a serious threat.

Do I have any clue what I'm talking about right now? NOPE!

People need to work on the numbers. I am not a Trekkie at all. I just googled "Captain 66-69" and it all fit :D

Captain Christopher Pike, one episode, he was in one episode then it turned over to Shatner. im not sure who that actor was though...

Jeffrey Hunter was the guy's name.

So are we adding this guy to our list of captains names?

Rearrange it and you just might have a name.

Are we sure the clue is in reference to the victim? Maybe the assassin can clarify. I'll wait until tomorrow morning to protect just in case some math guru cracks the numerical today.

Guys, what's with all the parenthesis and brackets?

How is it the assassin was tired at 9 p.m. EST? I'd almost say this should eliminate anyone west of this time zone, yet it is someone outside of Buffalo or they wouldn't be watching a feed (and they don't have Center Ice). Who calls it a feed rather than stream?

Maybe they're laughing at us.

I still think there's some kind of phrase that keys the string somehow.

LEMONY(sp?):

Don't be too exact - Could it be one letter off - NOT MEL?

HFBKEDGEIIJFJ - If you add the #s of the letters together and then re alphabetize it, that's what you come up with. Nothing there.

There has to be a reason for the mass amount of C's.

Or that it's largely confined to 1-5.

James T. Kirk - William Shatner
Jean-Luc Picard - Patrick Stuwart
Benjamin Sisko - Avery Brooks
Kathrine Janeway - Kate Mulgrew
Jonathon Archer - Scott Bakula
Captain Christopher Pike - Jeffrey Hunter

All the captains and the actors who played them.

Now, the clues pertaining to them:
Quote:
Who am i?
i wont tell you. but i can say what ive seen.
ive seen a namesake of the third captain in person. at least that's what most think.

Sean Avery?

Quote:
a little nerdiness will reveal he's actually the thirteenth. the alphabet should turn a few gears in the mind.

The_Assassin does not wish to be caught, but (gender-neutral noun) does enjoy providing confusing clues.

The second captain served from 66-69, with stints in 79, 82, 84, 86, 89, and 91. A run cut short at first. And 89 was a disaster.

The third from 86-93, sharing a surname from that who I've seen. Stints too in 94, 96, 98, 02.

The first from 01-05. No stints. No one liked him much.

The 2nd part of this clue was just to get us on track with the star trek captains part. None of it, I think, pertains to any additional information about who he is.

Has anyone on this board seen Sean Avery in person?

EDIT: Nevermind. I thought avery wore #13. He wears 16.

Have there been any other links posts aside from the Star Trek one?

Now just a shot in the dark, Kirk was captain in the 60's and he had several movies right up the line of the 80's and early 90's. and the 89 the assassin is referring to could be Star Trek V The Final Frontier, which was the worst movie of all the Original Star Trek films. Definatly hands down agreed upon by all trekkie fans, worst movie ever out of the Star Trek series.

86-93 would be Captain Picard or Patrick Stewart in the Next Generation series of Star Trek and then movies were right to follow in those years I BELIEVE not entirely certain.

The first in 01-05... i have no clue... they were Next Generation movies for certain... in those times, but Captain Pike was never referred to in any of those movies, and I dunno if his actor was in them...

Now in comment the the 13th captain... its possible to assume that since Picard is technically the third captain to appear and have a show about him, we could assume that there were 12 other captains referred to before Picard come around... im not entirely sure though.

Well he put victim in parenthesis, and the numbers that are in parenthesis are 6 and 4, which alphabetize into FD.

Let me go back and look at the other clues.

EDIT: Rut way to think outside the box on those captain clues. I really don't know how we'd research that, but you could be onto something.

Avery Brooks or Captain Benjamin Sisko was the third OFFICIAL captain to Appear in the star trek series. But when he first arrived he was commander sisko and not promoted to captain until the 3rd season.
