EDIT: Rut way to think outside the box on those captain clues. I really don't know how we'd research that, but you could be onto something.

If captain Picard was the 3rd captain of the star trek franchise, I also just found out that, in chronological order, he was also captain of the 13th star trek endeavor as captain in Star Trek Insurrection.

Would surpris me, I mean every Trekkie knows about Captain Pike, but if the assassin is counting him in, then Picard is the 3rd Captain to be Recognized in the Star Trek franchise as a series captain or however you wish to put it. Now being the 13th captain in the movies doesnt surprise me either and could very well be a good clue.

Benjamin Sisko was only captain in DS9 for 4 seasons, and in the last episode he leaves to join the "Prophets" and ceases to be a starfleet captain anymore.

The identity clues make my brain hurt. So I've been trying to make sense of the numbers. Unfortunately they don't really make my brain hurt any less. I think I'll try graphing them in excel.

Well lets make sense of the name then.

Jean-Luc Picard, played by Patrick Stewart.

Can anyone think of any relative namesakes involving those two names?

It is, but I was saying relative as in noteworthy! Haha. The assassin says he's seen a namesake of the 3rd captain, who is also the 13th.

I thought that might be picard, so now I'm trying to find a namesake for Jean-Luc Picard or Patrick Stewart.

On the show he was referred to as Jean-Luc by Beverly, and Captain by others, and ya, I think thats it. Admirals on the show called him Jean Luc as well...

As for his real name, none that I know of
