Jonathan Archer-James T Kirk-Jean Luc Picard

Scott Bakula-William Shatner- Patrick Stewart

Those are the 3 captains, and the actors that played them, in the order the assassin gives us the clues.

Quote:
Who am i?

i wont tell you. but i can say what ive seen.

ive seen a namesake of the third captain in person. at least that's what most think. a little nerdiness will reveal he's actually the thirteenth. the alphabet should turn a few gears in the mind.

The_Assassin does not wish to be caught, but (gender-neutral noun) does enjoy providing confusing clues.

The second captain served from 66-69, with stints in 79, 82, 84, 86, 89, and 91. A run cut short at first. And 89 was a disaster.

The third from 86-93, sharing a surname from that who I've seen. Stints too in 94, 96, 98, 02.

The first from 01-05. No stints. No one liked him much.

Looking back, I'm not sure if ALL the captains are important. I think the assassin's lone purpose of posting that was to get us on track about the third captain being one from Star Trek.

There's something very important about this surname with Picard or Stewart.

This captain was Jean-Luc Picard, or Patrick Stewart.
So the assassin has seen a person with the last name of Picard or Stewart. Can anyone connect the dots here?

1) I don't know of any forum member with either of those surnames so I don't think that's it.
2) The chronological thing is bothering me  The assassin said "The first from 01-05. No stints. No one liked him much" How do you have the first in 01-05, the second from 66-69 etc, and the third from 86-93 etc.?
3) I do agree that the evidence this is a Star Trek captain is overwhelming and that Picard or Stewart are probably correct.
4) There were two Picards - one for CBJ & one for the Sens - right?
5) Stewart, Anthony ATL -Stewart, Chris COL -Stewart, Gregory MTL

All of the above players are Canadian born. What about retired players?

6) The assassin owns Canes apparel. WHY? :shhh:

Why is it so important to the assassin for us to know he has seen a certain captain? He never says he shares the name. Anyone who has seen a hockey game has seen a captain in person. Something doesn't seem to make sense as to the importance unless the assassin lives outside of NA in which case, it would be a very big deal to see a game.

Any person who has gone to a game has seen a captain in person... so the assassin cant be referring to a hockey captain cuz we have all seen them so obviously this partiular captain has to be from something... outside of hockey

Lets stop thinking hockey player or athlete for someone that shares the name Picard or Stewart and start thinking outside the box.

We can't think of anyone with the last name Picard or Stewart from these forums... so who else could the Assassin be referring to?

What about Captains in Military?

Ship Captains? Captain Morgan? Movie Captains? Pirate Captains in movies, the actors who play them?

That song is where the image in my avi came from. I had to carve a stamp that was Christmas song related and zeroed in the a naughty or nice line. I didn't feel like carving an image of Santa. Half naked chicks in Santa hats are much more fun ;)

The assassin lurks
Beyond your grasp
Pointing and laughing
Watching the hours pass

The eldest of three
Yet one in the middle
Confounding those here
And solving the riddle

If my struggles deepen
I spotlight myself
Though I cannot stop
From giving you help

So, noble cops
If it's all just the same
I shall continue
Playing my games

acrossthelines. Looking at this all, she hasn't been in this thread nearly as much as some of the past, and a lot of the writing style seems very similar to her. What throws me off is some of the misspellings, but maybe those were intentional?

I have a feeling she would be crafty enough to intentionally have spelling/grammar errors, to throw people off...

But is she a trekkie?

I mean, we're talking about someone who was citing Star Trek captains from the 60's here.

not sure, but, the assassin also said
"One of the most fun, and simultaneously most evil ways I’ve been playing this game is posting statements that, while 100% correct, do not indicate much about me as a person. In fact, some are the opposite of what you'd expect of me. Assumption is as nasty a foe as I am, and is currently working very much in my favor. Several people have made statements about my personality that are just plain wrong, which delights me. The clues about me present the facts. I am this, I am that. Those by extension do not necessarily mean I am something else. Future clues may involve me clarifying some things, and in the end, if caught, I will explain away everything."

So even if we don't know if she is, maybe she is? I can see her being the type to intentionally use clues that would lead the players to a totally different path.
