Still as a show of good assassin-faith, the next victim will not be a member of the police force.

I should clarify this. When you think like me, you realize I didn't specify WHICH police force. Several of my other clues carry this attribute as well.

The next victim will not be a member of the police force for this, the third, variant of the assassin game.

Poof...ambiguity gone.

Shot in the dark... I think it's ETC.

EDIT: Nope. No, I don't. I'm tired and I'm forgetting things now.

I need to sleep on this... again. :|

I don't have anything :(

There is something we are totally amiss on.

Okay guys. If you were to say; "I was in favor of the war in 03", what would you be talking about?

++++++++++++++++++++++
"The assassin lurks
Beyond your grasp
Pointing and laughing
Watching the hours pass

The eldest of three
Yet one in the middle
Confounding those here
And solving the riddle

If my struggles deepen
I spotlight myself
Though I cannot stop
From giving you help

So, noble cops
If it's all just the same
I shall continue
Playing my games"
++++++++++++++++++++

Tsk Tsk, no one's quoted my last post yet. For shame officers, such things are important.
+++++++++++++++++++

What is in that poem that we are missing?

You've used "the boards" to describe both sabres junkie and the old boards. You never specify new boards or old boards or anything. We must be missing something.

Someone recheck the clues?

Okay. The latest post on the old boards about where is everyone was from Chillian and she is not on this site. The one person who continually posts on the old forums in any thread that has to do with it being a ghost town is Squanto - including Chillians thread.

HIL asked;
Does this mean that you've recently come over from the yucky boards?
Assassin replied;
Recently, no, but do ponder what I typed there.

Mel - you met Tom, correct? He would know your real name and where you go to school?

Way to boost my post count :lol:

ETA: I am a boob. Squanto is local. Why would he be watching a feed?

(lol apparently I am going to play again now... haven't been cause I was away this past weekend and unable to play and about ten pages were posted while I was gone so I was like, "Well, forget that!" but oh well; people are online right now, and it's fun even though I should be writing a huge paper due tomorrow)

Well, guessing that "the boards" = forums is a wrong assumption, boards could also be boards in hockey, ghost town referring to a team/city with minuscule attendance each night. That could easily be a clue to where the assassin lives. But that is outside of any context concerning the rest of the clues, soooo it doesn't/might not mean anything. And I haven't even bothered to try to decode any but the last few, which are purely verbal in nature.

The assassin is likely either Catholic or Episcopalian specifically, because s/he said that s/he was confirmed into the church. The Lutherans may confirm people into the church as well; I'm not sure. I do know that both Catholics and Episcopalians do, though.

If all of those things are true, plus a couple other things, I wonder if my hunch is correct. Not an officer, though. Haha.

Does anyone get the impression that the assassin is a female?

Puppies? Long walks on the beach?

That's what I thought. Mel and I were talking about it earlier.

Mel picked up on the ATL. It just clicked when I saw J-L.

Jael is the oldest of three younger brothers.

I need to go look at a few things ;)

Hey schony... ATL likes Christian Rock Bands. ;)

Looking at all this, I'm ready to make an accusation if you are Schony.
Another thing, as you can tell from ATL's avatar she enjoys individuality which may explain why she doesn't like to fill out "typical personal ads".

"i think its BS, just to finish out the "typical personal ad" dialogue"

not to exactly bust your bubble or anything, but that was added by me. pointing out that it sounds off. if this pops anything. sorry.

haha oh :P, I was just trying to find more evidence pointing towards ATL as it seemed like a possibility, but there have been a few other discrepancies and it's looking a lot less likely. It's all good :P.

I'm really tired and I might be reaching on this one, but here goes;

1) It strikes me as odd that someone would be in support of the Iraqi war unless they fought in it

2) The Assassin likes to use the word "ponder"

3) The Assassin owns Canes apparel

4) The Assassin like to walk on the beach

5) The Assassin is clearly a proponent of these forums and despises the old

6) The Assassin is very religious although states that might surprise us

7) The Assassin used the words "tsk tsk"
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
There is one person who served in the Navy(?) and I believe fought in Iraq.

"Ponder". There is only one person here that has used that word (They also used "pondered")

The Assassin lives near a beach (evidenced by fb photos)

The Assassin has a logical explanation for owning a Canes jersey

I have seen numerous posts both here and there from someone who hates the old boards and loves the new

There is also clearly a picture of this person on fb wearing a cross around their neck

This person also said "tsk tsk"in the "I've got the swine" flu thread :o

=

YankeeInRALEIGH

And, no! I do not want to make the accusation because if it's right, then I can't play in the next round again. Clearly, I like to play :dance:

I'll accuse, if someone will do so with me. Schony usually seems to be right on these things.
