Hmm so it could be someone who had numbers on the old boards

Or that could be a delebrate sentence to throw us off.

Glad I could be such a help in this whole thing

It was a hint, both to the next victim, and to my identity.

Backtrack backtrack.

The assassin confesses, at the time of the no numbers clue, they had not chosen a specific victim.
But the victim has been chosen. Care to hazard a guess?

You must protect the prince
Though I'm sure the victim will see to that
Shielding him from harm
They are, after all, rather attached

If you're confessing, that must mean the new victim has numbers.

You're making it very hard for us to formulate any opinion when your statements are misleading.

To clarify, I threw the no numbers clue as a blanket clue to narrow down the list I could choose. The clue holds. But now I have made my choice. Any their board username for SJ does not have any numbers in it.

My home residence, yes. I have one place in which I reside, however that first sentence is not technically accurate.

This is so much fun.

I really need to match up my gut feeling with actual clues more substantial than things like this, though. Just sit and wait for some officer to accuse this person... becaauuuse I don't think anybody's suspected him/her yet, if I recall correctly all the people that have been named in this thread as suspects.

What first sentence? :o Mel's? Or your original statement.
You did specify the cross was on a wall and the bible on a bookshelf ;)

Wow...

I don't have any numbers in my user name folks. Neither do you SchonyGal.

Now, I think that hint about no numbers has to do with the forum migration, how some people had their user names plus a _1 or _0 after it.

A Victim Clue!

Time changes, uphill
Without tingles, of conscience
Without you, thinking it through
The assassin will target their kill

Assassin; at this point, it might be best that YOU indicate whether your infinite clue is directed at the victim or yourself. You like to talk about yourself so incessantly, that we never know who the clues are directed at anymore. It's getting kind of old.

My apologies to Schony, and to all, on the cryptic nature of the clues. I strive to be difficult, such is the nature of the game, but solvable. Due to the rather meandering nature of my thought processes that tends to result in a quagmire of confusion more often than not.

I do like the recent trend of clarifying past identity clues. It means I do not have to come up with any new ones :P, and causes the puzzle pieces to shift ever slightly closer together. I will try to be guarded. Don't want to be found before I've a sizable pile of bodies to hide behind after all.

I will say this. At one point, the "Trek" identity clue was taken as far as it needed to go. And then people thought and thought, and made new connections, and other connections and more what ifs and it became a monster. Rawr!

I will offer another hint. In one of the clues for the first victim, I made, not a mistake...let's just say I threw a bit too much information in that I was surprised no one picked up on. I thought a certain member of the police force would pick up on it rather quickly.

And tomorrow I will post a clue that will lead you to my username. Be warned, it looks like a black lab ate and subsequently vomited a calculator. I think it will be solveble given a certain intuitiveness, and Sabre fandom.

You don't need to apologize to me or anyone else. The game is what it is. It's just when the assassin tries to outsmart his/her own-self,that no one can follow it. You have wizz kids, profilers, P.I.'s, brainiacs, and IT guru's here that can't figure it out.

I'm trying to tell you, your clues are not based on any algorithm.

Albeit a game, your clues aren't making any sense to anyone but you. You will lose your audience soon (Wozniak's last post was a good example). So, take a deep breath and figure out what it is you are aiming at.

All in good fun. It's only a game ;) I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, but games can be very real sometimes so you need to be a player not a decoy if you want in.

This should be a good lesson for those that pick future Assassins
This isn't a "pick your friend" game.

Mmmhmm. The clues are too cryptic and scattered... They're not cohesive at all and don't really lead to a larger picture. The only thing anyone really has to go off of at this point is a gut feeling, and it doesn't seem like many people have those at all.

I feel like I'm implicating myself every time I post in this thread, ever since I've been suspected.
