Yeah, and Kaleta is a pussy who hits late, never drops the gloves, always turtle and is useless to the Sabres....that was a great thread on the old boards

It's a phrase that basically means, if you wanna see the Sabres at the top, turn the rankings.

I'll say 1-1-1...OT/SO loss to Washington, reg loss to Philly, and a reg win against Carolina. But if they actually lose to Carolina, I just might stop watching until January. It would take that long to get over it.

Knowing their track record with teams that we should win against, I suggest you prepare for the worst early.

I say 2-0-1. A regulation win against Philly and Carolina, they know what to expect now with Philly and Carolina will hopefully be a pushover game (or in Sabres-land a hard battled game because we make down-on-their-luck teams look amazing). However, this is our first game against the Caps, so we'll either come out too hard and wear ourselves out early... or come out too soft and not pick our game up until the last 10 minutes or so when it's too late.

Plus we have Grier back. :) It may take a game for his gospel to get into his teammates heads again though.

while the sabres havnt played as many games as other teams, its slightly shocking that teams with 25 points are currently outside the top 8 in the east. buffalo has 26....

Those damn loser points muck up the entire standings. Parity is already in place, and with the loser points it artificially compresses the team rankings. I hate that only ten points has separated the eastern playoff teams the last two years. It's a joke to say that the one seed and eight seed have been that close.

Go back to ties with a ten minute 5-on-5 OT session. When the ties start piling up it will set in very hard that rules need to be changed or penalties enforced more harshly in order to open up the ice. Until penalties actually mean something defense and goaltending will dominate the game while cluttering up the standings.

You're underestimating Carolina, they've lost ALOT of their games in OT/SO against some really good teams in the East. They have probably been to more OTs/SOs than any other team right now.

Hey, no fair changing in mid stream. ;)
Those of us that called 0-3 still have dibbs on blasting Tommy G. for continuing to tolerate this loosing combination of Lindy/Darcy. :o
I honestly do not believe it is the players anymore. I have heard to many 1st hand accounts from players that have played in Buf under Ruff to continue to believe in his system. 2+2=4 not 5.
If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it ain't no ardvvark. :naughty:

Well usually I don't do this BUT if a Crapadelphia player gets hurt I hope the fans will cheer till he's off the ice.

prediction:
We beat Crapadelphia and lose against Carolina in OT
