Looking to get 45-55 people to go on a road trip to Columbus February 6th and see the Buffalo Sabres take on the Blue Jackets...

We did a bus trip a few years ago and it was a heck of a time! It was like the Sabres were playing a home game, there was SO MANY BUFFALO fans!
-----------------------------------------

**GAME IS SATURDAY FEBRUARY 6TH @ 7:00PM (DAY BEFORE THE SUPER BOWL)**
------------------------------------------

THE BUS HAS A BATHROOM/DVD PLAYER/RECLINING SEATS

The plan right now is to leave Buffalo (Wegmans on Alberta Drive around 8:30am the morning of Feb 6th, get to Columbus around 1:30-2 and hang out before doors open at 6. There are many bars and places to eat around the arena. We would leave for Buffalo after the game.

----------------------------------------------

If you want to bring beer on the bus – That is fine no glass just cans and bring garbage bags to clean up and avoid clean up fee.

To prevent my birthday thread from getting hijacked, a reminded to all involved in MY roadtrip that the participation entry deadline is Dec. 1. At that point, I get ahold of all of you to discuss payment. Remember, seat and room will run you about 80 total (ticket fees and hotel taxes).

Nah it's cool, just don't post the exact same thing over and over. Linking to your one post in following posts is a good idea.

Sounds good. Columbus will be a great time. We are taking over that arena!

Meh, Alex, I'll tell ya man...women, too much work. Haha. My +1 is pretty much out at this point, because, well I strike out more than Adam Dunn on a cold streak. Lol.

OK, so it's the first of December. It's time to discuss payment options so we can get out tickets and reservations outta the way! Before I go further, I want to make sure everyone is on the same page so here's our final list of attendees - myself, Melly, Jay, Alex, Caro, Eileen, Tom, and Mike.

The tickets, found here on StubHub, will be $38.78 each (and this is factoring in all the fees) when divided amongst the 8 of us attending. This is almost exactly what I guessed it would be per person.

The accommodations are proving to be kind of expensive...it looks like we're gonna be coughing up around $50 bucks each a night. I'm still searching through Google Maps to find the cheapest rate possible. We could just hostel? I think that would be cool. I'll keep all options open - feedback is appreciated.

Wouldn't mind staying in a hostel, but I also wouldn't mind paying $50 a night either... Guess it depends on what everyone else wants to do.

Total cost per person could end up around $100, what with the ticket, hotel, and all fees involved.

Excluding myself and the girlfriend, there are six folks. Three, two twin bed rooms? Could work out to Caro and Eileen, Alex and Mike, and Jay and Tom.
