Well, tit for tat. The question is now, will Patty get suspended for his boarding major and game misconduct???

I know its hard to believe. All OV does is hit guys cheaply and go overboard when celebrating a goal.

Is that ALL he does? Really?

Ovechkin is the most dynamic player on the ice. Criticize him all you want, but all you have to do is watch the plentiful highlight reels---and even listen to Lindy Ruff when he talks about him; He practically gushes! He didn't even criticize the Kaleta hit, but instead took his own team to task for not converting on the long PP! Why would Lindy have this attitude? Because Lindy wants to WIN, and guys like Ovechkin and his counterpart in basketball, Michael Jordan, will take you to championship after championship if you can manage to surround them with the right support crew.

Like Jordan, once OV (who's only 22) is surrounded by the right mix, he will be the centerpiece of a mini-dynasty.

On top of all that, if you're going to complain about a questionably dirty hit, it better not be one where Kaleta is on the receiving end, as he is suspect numero uno in dishing that stuff out---and everybody, including OV, knows it.

Okay I know OV is not just a cheapshot artist and an overceleberator, but come on!!! Something has to be done about all of his slew footing and charing players.

So because Kaleta likes to hit and sometimes his are borderline its ok for him to get hit? And OV taking teams to championship after wait.. they havent made it out of the secound round while Crosby goes and leads his team to a Stanley Cup. I never said anything along the lines of OV being a bad player. I just cant believe a reckless douchebag has more fans Crosby.

It's hard to have any sympathy, that's all.

If Ovechkin had the same support crew, especially Fleury, he'd likely have his name on the cup too. Michael Jordan was on the Bulls for SIX YEARS before any chanpionship victory. He had many individual titles before his team won the championship, including LEAGUE MVP (3 years before first championship).

Ovie is just getting started.

The reason OV has more fans that Crosby is because he is more fun, Crosby is boring and is a little whiney bitch, OV while has his cheap moments is way more fun to watch.

That's bullshit.

A player who plays hard and sometimes crosses that line deserves to be cheap shotted in return?

What a joke of an idea.

he didnt say he deserved it, just that its hard to have sympathy, like if someone stole from you, would you feel bad if someone else stole from them?

I love to watch OV play. Doesnt change the fact that he's a(hate to say it) typical Russian. The guy is an all world talent. Maybe he should act like it every once in awhile. He likes to make dirty hits look non-chalent. Not saying there aren`t alot of Canadians that like to cheapshot but not the world talent ones.

Fluery was not the reason the Penguins won a cup, nor would he have been, the year before he would have been the reason for them winning a cup had they won it.

a .908 Sv% last year, a 2.61 GAA the year they won a cup. Please if it wasn't for the 31 points Crosby put up and the 36 Malkin put up, the Cup would not have been theirs.

They both had double the amount of points then the next four players on that team.

My intent was not to diminish the roles of the others, particularly Malkin and a healthy Gonchar, but it's common knowledge that a big Caps weakness has been the guys in net. Also, Fleury's playoff performance was pretty strong.

Again, they didn't win BECAUSE of Fleury, but the goalie is always a key ingredient in any cup victory.

Looking back to Ovie against us, this guy has layed a few cheapshots on us. Yes we've been talking about the Paetsch one, but what about the Briere one? Briere may have had it coming, but that was cheap as shit.

Well the Caps have a future in goaltending now with Varlamov.

I just do not think Fleury is all that people think he is, he wasn't really a huge reason the Pens won the cup, he helped of course, but he didn't actually win it for them.

And OV won't get anything for the hit. It would have been announced by now. Same with Kaleta, doubt he'll get anything either.
