I hope this benefits some of you fellow DirecTV customers out there.

I had heard about customers getting the CenterIce package for free if they called and complained to DirecTV about no longer carrying Versus. When I got home from work and went to turn on the Sabres game, it was enough for me to test the theory. I called and said that I was very upset about them not carrying Versus in addition to the lack of HD feeds from MSG. They promptly offered me a credit of $163.80 tp cover the charges for the CenterIce package.

I guess I can live without a few Sabres game in trade for the free package. I just hope they get it fixed by the time the playoffs roll around.

I should try that. I had heard they stopped giving those credits out, so I didn't bother.

I don't know if it was posted, but I was just saying they were doing this in early October. Still, I'm glad a DirecTV user may be able to take advantage of it.
