I can't believe how hard he hit him...if it wasn't for his mask, that could have been a real serious injury for Vokoun. I do feel real bad for Ballard, I can only imagine how stupid and humiliated he must feel right now. Hope Vokoun is OK.


I was thinking that. You know if it were an opposing player, people would be screaming for a suspension, regardless if it was an accidental play or not. Not that I'm saying I'm for Ballard getting suspended for it, but it's interesting to think about it.

Oh come on, do you really think he meant to slash his own goalie in the head on purpose? He was probably so ashamed and embarrassed to go over to him to see if he was alright. Obviously it would have been the right thing to do, but god only knows how he was feeling after the incident. I think that video shows him leaving the bench to go into the dressing room, not sure if he returned to the game or not. I feel bad for him.

I was just watching NHL On the Fly and they showed Ballard on the bench after the game. I can't imagine how that guy feels...it was a very depressing shot of him.
