There is one white pixel in the bottom right hand corner of this gradient from pink to purple to blue.

It almost looks like it could be a magnification of a section of the northern lights.

If you magnify the photo on that dot, you will see it looks like a star. It is in the southeast quadrant of the photo, which is where Sirius, the dog star, is located. Maybe I'm paranoid, but I have a dog in my avatar and I would be really, really apreciative of a protect!

It has a png extension again Does that mean we're looking at an Assassin with a Mac or did we determine last time that anyone can use that extension? A mac automatically saves a pic as a png though, correct?

PNGs aren't exclusive to macs, but they do automatically save screen shots from the internet as PNGs.

Lets use it as more of a leverage clue in the end instead of narrowing down our list just yet.

my theory is its a picture of a dusk sky, rotated 90 degrees.

It doesn't have to be rotated. I've seen the sky split in half by pink and black as the sun sets by looking straight up.

If you want to get real technical, the file name of the photo is "scene.png."

if you notice the pants of your dancing man they turn colour closely resembling the clue of the assassin and it kind of fits with schony liking your pic PSP better than the assassin's pic, if she was helping us. as well you have that colour spectrum in your signature pic.
