for three games, three controllers & the system itself all I got was under $40, which sucked, but I got the New Super Mario Bros. for the Wii, so I guess all is not lost.

Well when they are only selling a new PS2 for around 100 bucks, you won't get too much.

I haven't skateboarded in over a month. For sure the longest I've been off my shredstick since I started. Hopefully I'll be able to hit up x-wheelz over break... or if Pittsburgh doesnt have snow when I head down there in a week and a half.
Gah I'm going crazy without my creative outlet!

My roommate/best friend and her boyfriend, another very good friend, are getting engaged at some point within the next week and a half, though they can't get married till after college (we are all sophomores).

I think it's pointless and stupid, but don't tell her I said that. I also don't think she's ready for marriage... but ssshhh.........

Anyway, I cannot WAIT to go home next Friday. Oh my word. Cannot wait. I want to be done with this semester so much... take time off... SLEEP... see my brother that I haven't seen since August because he doesn't have breaks at his college where he can be home during semesters, so I didn't see him at all fall break or Thanksgiving... I also don't ever talk to him on the phone because that would be weird; I can't imagine him talking on the phone... also excluding my parents I tend to call people reeeeaaally late (my roommate came to expect calls from me around 3:00 in the morning or whenever, on weekends over the summer. lol I made sure she wouldn't mind first)... CHRISTMAS (in which I will receive, hopefully, no gifts; May trip to Russia is more than enough)... watching the series finale of Monk, finally... working and making money.... REAL FOOD... going to Albany to see family I haven't seen since the beginning of summer 2008 because every time my family goes out there I'm here... hanging out with my two youngest brothers and their friends and marveling at how much my youngest brother is like me... giving my dog kisses every day... having my dog sleep in bed with me... building snowmen... I CAN'T WAIT TO GO HOOOOME.

I sound like a freshman. :( Last year, I was basically a senior. Perhaps I'm maturing backwards. already feel that way in other areas.

I feel like the '80s and '90s could be kind of lumped together in terms of a lot of things, but not the '90s and this '00s.

It's weird.

It's also weird that now sociologists are saying that their previous estimate of seven years = a generation now was probably wrong, that it's more like 2-3 years. Not surprising, because I can't relate to kids just 2-3 years younger than I am, while in high school my Spanish teacher, who is currently 26, would reminisce with us some class periods, and it was fine because we remembered the same news stories and listened to the same music and watched the same shows and played with the same toys, the same technology... A decade ago, there was a new generation/group every 15-20 years. It's this weird thing that enables kids my age, in college, to reminisce. I feel like people who are currently 18-22 (but not 19) in particular were born right in the transition between '80s-'90s mentality in cultural experience and growth and time and the current one, and it's bizarre. I can relate to older people in the generational thing, but anyone young enough to still be in high school, who are only a few years younger than I am, are just foreign.

Maybe it was this way for people born in the transition between '40s-'50s mentality and the '60s, though I think that the difference between the '40s and '50s is greater than the one between the '80s and '90s. But generations still contained quite a few years... I don't know. It's just weird.

Anyway.
