Ruffian was a race horse if that helps anyone.

And I think 5 across is car, not dot. DOT is the department of transportation.

That would make sense, as 18 across could be gloom.

We should leave 5 across open until we figure out 1 down.

I have a feeling it's throwing us off. Dot could be a number of things.

If it's DOT like I thought, it could be car.

Dot could also be a dot of ink. Or it could be dab, or jot.

Dot is also a nickname for a tab of LSD.

It could mean bit.

So on and so fourth.

Honestly, the only thing that comes to mind when I hear dot is dot com.

Can we make another word (1 down) if the second letter is an "o"?

Given that the above is an Assassin identity clue, has anyone tried to work the numbers for the victim clue?

44. 934458 - 227.611014?

are the numbers coordinates? Aren't there 7 numbers in the first set and 8 in the second set? This one has 9 in the second set.

This is annoying me  Assassin, did you make a mistake!?

The Assassin is pleased that the puzzle is progressing. Three answers are erroneous. One prevents you from solving #7 down.
The others may seem inconsequential, but may ultimately prevent you from solving the identity clue itself.

Tip: the picture in the original victim clue is not based on an avatar or signature picture.

Look for an additional Assassin identity clue on Monday.

For now, what may or may not be your last victim clue. Maybe one more tomorrow if you're good.

In the second number, there is an extra 1 BTW.
