its an early 90s model... i know your kidding, but that aint vintage. it just sucks.

they did put in new HD screens in it 3 years ago. before, it was 16 large TV screens making 1 larger screen. several sides had missing screens relays, so only 15 or 14 squares would work.

this is some of the working sides

youd never imagine an NHL team played in such a dumpy place.

That scoreboard looks like it is barely 20 feet from the ice too.

I went to New Jersey this week because my grandma passed away.

I took a few pictures on the way there, which was one of the few things that kept me from getting carsick the whole freaking ride. We went through the catskills, and the weather was beautiful.

I think I've mentioned before that I'm from downstate, so while we were down there we visited Long Island and NYC.

Image

This is my old house. I do not know who put tacky lawn decorations everywhere  It's weird not having my cars there, and I was definitely creeping with the zoom through my old bedroom window on the right :D

Image

The town over is called Port Jeff, and it's probably my favorite place in the world. It's right on the water, and all of the shops are adorable and lit up.
Image

We used to take this ferry to Connecticut a lot to visit mi familia, and go fishing.

Image

Oh, and they had a freaking telephone booth. How can it NOT be the best place ever? :o

Put up Christmas lights the other day. Kind of.

I love to plug those in, turn the lights off, blast music, and dance and spin around. Feel like a little kid.

Dancing and running around barefoot in a parking lot in October...

And have a Johannes Vermeer picspam, too! My favorite artist. It's so sad that he only has less than twenty works to his name... He is incredible.

I am not sure exactly why he is my favorite... I don't prefer realism, really, but all my favorite pieces in general are painted that way. Usually I prefer impressionism and abstract, and lately I've really been getting into more graphic styles... Eh, whatever.

I saw these at the Met in NYC and just stared at them for about ten minutes a piece (my father was impatient, or else I could have looked all day :D ).

I want to steal the last one.

there is some interesting stuff about vermeer out there. the best one that is that, according to some people, he cheated by using a camera obscura which was more or less a ye old projector to draw out his paintings.

did you see "the girl with the pearl earring?" its a good movie about vermeer

Ooookaaaaay. Hadn't heard that one. I don't believe it. People always want to explain away things that they can't do themselves.

Then again, I believe literally nothing based off conjecture, especially when it concerns people. Give me proof, or sit down and shut up. lol. But, hey, usually enough time and the ones who do believe things, which are by far the majority, are proven to be fools. :D

Yeah, I've seen that movie. Enjoyed it quite a bit, though I know it's not everybody's cup of tea.

the proof for it is in his work. numerious times he will paint something out of focus (like a drop, an earring, etc). this would only happen if he was using the camera obscura. otherwise everything would be in focus. heres a quick link talking about it http://www.essentialvermeer.com/camera_obscura/co_one.html.

i personally dont care if he used it or not and i dont consider it cheating. some people know artistically cheat by using carbon transfer paper under a photograph or even projectors to create a perfect drawing, or even a more accurate one then what they can do themselves.

Ah, OK. Yeah, my roommate is an art student and cheats on projects all the time by tracing when she needs to have letters in her work.

Such a cheater, Vermeer. Shame. Shaaaaaame. :P
