To make it simple, most, if not all of the assassin's identity clues have included the words cross and check in it somewhere.

It's also a confidence booster when Schony says "are you kidding me" after an assassin identity clue that has the words "cross" and "check" in it. Which is then later highlighted by a non-officer to emphasize the assassin's identity.

So thank you Schony and thanks for playing crosscheck.

Also the next target for the assassin is probably icehound (considering the image clue).
