Of course, that's always the crux of the Max arguments, isn't it? "Oh, Max would have been fine, except Lindy always stashed him on the 4th line."
Then again, that means people ignore when he was playing on the RAV line.....Roy, Afinogenov, Vanek. He played well on that line, until he started wandering off to do his 1 on 4 rushes, leaving Roy and Vanek to do nothing but stand and watch. Any player who does that deserves to get demoted.
Good for Max to be doing well down there. As evidenced by his 05-06 and 06-07 seasons, he plays very well when offense is the focus of the team, not defense.
