The Habs are looking for a top 6 forward in return for Halak? Okay.

eh well. its a possibility. i see no flaw in howards game.

he did break two of millers NCAA records, including save percentage in a season (.954) and goals against average (1.19)

those numbers are fucking absurd.

Not saying those aren't great here, but what kind of team played in front of Miller then? Was it a more offense first or defense and same with Howard too?

I thought I read that Osgood has taken the starting job back from Howard as his play of late has increased by alot?

you heard wrong. howard is the starter in detroit.

his gaa 2.45 and his save percentage is .913.
http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/players/p ... yerId=3170

News: Howard will make his third consecutive start on Friday against the Ducks, Bruce MacLeod of the Macomb Daily reports.
Spin: Howard has given up just a single goal in each of his last two games, and is looking more and more like the everyday starter in Detroit. The Wings don't have the same high-octane offense that a mediocre goalie like Chris Osgood used to be able to hide behind. They need solid numbers from their starter and Howard is giving them that right now. We could be witnessing a changing of the guard in Motown.

this thread got off topic in a hurry! anyways, im a huge howard supporter. love the guy. wish he was buffalos backup.

Also can you tell me the teams Howard and Miller played behind in their NCAA years?

Defensive or Offensive minded.

ncaa in general were more defensive minded. both teams, i would say, were more well-rounded, taking some chances, but nothing too absurd. regardless. halak wont go to detroit.

Thanks, was just wondering really.

But obviously Miller is doing much better than Howard right now. If Howard becomes better than miller, it won't be for a few years at least.

True but Price has actually looked way better this year as opposed to last year.

the kings could probably use a number one while bernier and quick continue to grow. the lightning could use a number one as smith is not what they thought. Philly, especially with emery down. The blues, obvious reasons. the wings probably want to bring howard along slowly, they also have mccollum in the wings. the panthers.
