But we have won the past 5 out of 7 though, so that makes them the hottest team in Hockey, or one of them.

It is all how you want to view the stats, and I know you were joking too.

And when has there been a team that doesn't feel good about a goalie in the postseason actually win the cup? Every good team that wins a cup starts with their goalie, even though I don't think Fluery is that good and was bailed out by Crosby and Malkin, he made the big saves when he had to, Giguere was incredibly in his cup win also, Osgood was a beast when they won, and almost snagged another one, and Ward was the reason the Canes won their cup.

A team that can rely on their goalie, is a team that will take more chances and score more goals, and also play sound defense in front of. Why is it we have the least amount of goals scored against us is? Why is it we have a top 5 or top 3 in goals against a game for? Miller and our team playing sound defense in front of him.

The Sabres aren't doing anything besides riding the back of Lalime.

Lindy should be fired because the team only won by 1 last night. Real teams win by 2 or 3.

In regard to the bump...

In summary, this topic was saying that the team was/is/still will show signs that it isn't a division winning or top playoff contending team based on it's second straight fast start. That doesn't mean the team stinks, although it's par for the course for other posters to jump to silly conclusions and wild reactions. Yes, they are in 1st place right now, but they have also played seven more home games than away, and apparently will struggle to score against physical teams. That's a recipe for a 5-8 seed playoff team, and that's not so bad. That's where I thought they would be before the season anyway.

PSP sort of called me out with his optimism thread, which was equally reactionary after a few good games and solid wins. I wasted all of one line bumping the thread and hardly tried to make a big deal about it. It seemed reasonable enough after a very bland effort (followed up by a horrible effort).

There will be up and down streaks through the season, but the best teams don't have many down streaks. I'm a realist, but have been accused of being overly optimistic in the past, so I find some reactions here a little funny. Anyway, I think the team should have been a 6-8 seed the last two seasons if not for some bad luck. I think they're much better defensively and a little better overall this season, but still have a lot to prove with consistent scoring and leadership/effort.

Is that so hard to grasp or controversial?

Got it. Thread is loaded with sarcasm.

Not sure why I struggled with that concept.

Probably because of how bad the sabres blow forever.

Yup, same with the "Optimism setting in" thread and ETC is the head of sarcasm in both.. Funny shit though because some ppl are serious about these crazy opinions of the team after a win or loss...

If the playoffs started tomorrow, we'd win the Stanley Cup, and Kaleta would get the Hart, as well as the Conn Smythe

We still suck, we only beat The Capitals, Chicago, and the Rangers in 4 nights, any team could do that.

What the fuck is with all the sarcasm. This post looks like you just proved to a Leafs(or Sens) fan that we truly are the league's most dynamic offensive team.
