(APA)

After last night's game, the Sabres are now primed to win their first of five consecutive Stanley Cups.

Yes,it's German (from an austrian newspaper). To sum it up: Ryan Miller was a rock and the best player in last nights win against Washington and Vanek had 0 points

Anything is possible.. 2010 Stanley Cup Champs?!?

I gotta say, Vanek has really stepped his game up in the past 3 games.. He actually looks fast, especially against NJ and Washington..

A win over on eof the hottest teams in the West is always good, especially with Lalime in net.

That means we can beat anyone now.

Never saw the game aganst the Hawks but how could Buffalo hold them only to 1 goal and have Lalime actually beat a team.

Lalime got peppered with 40 shots and stood on his head to save 39 of em..

Hecht has looked faster this season, and stronger on the puck along the boards. Maybe not to the level of 3-4 years ago, but certainly an improvement over the past couple.

This win now puts Buffalo at 6-0 against the West. Go Sabres!

That's a really good sign for if we make it to the cup finals.. The West has a different style of play and we seem to dominate it..

Good for him but can he do this in any other games.

He still can't score but he has looked better than last year by far.

Patkane, to answer your question...despite allowing 40 shots, the Sabres played excellent team defense (minus the Hossa snafu). Plus, and this is no exaggeration, Lalime made some serious Miller-esque saves tonight. He flashed the magical glove a couple of times.

Well if he can do it tonight, against a great scoring team and after 5 weeks(??) off, I say you can't count him out any game..

Not saying that Im suddenly confident in playing Lalime, but this game made me feel much better about him backing up Miller.. Can't wait to see what he does in his next start..

The Pessimism thread was bumming me out, so I bumped this one.

This thread became the oxymoron thread too. In the optimism thread we worry about Lalime being a one game wonder, and Miller being the sole reason for winning. In the pessimism thread everyone is chanting incantations to cup glory. oy vey
