I was really, really happy for Patty.

I'm one of his biggest critics as a player, but I'm sure he's a good person. I'd love it if he could be the guy to get the job done.

It sounds like he's done a lot of work with Jim Corsi to improve his game. I'll be cheering for him, as long as he can continue to play like he did on Friday night.

I think, and this is as much a compliment to Miller's prowess as it is to their (presumed) friendship and professional relationship, that Lalime has been intently studying Miller's technique and style in relation to movements and when to trust the puck to his teammates. He played a very sharp-angled game, cutting down room to shoot the puck on net, and he looked very calm almost the whole game. When he was feeling supremely comfortable, he even was throwing a little flair on his glove saves to emphasize the zone he was in.

It looked like Miller back there almost all game, and that is a huge compliment to Patty, ever the professional, continuing to hone his game even as a veteran.
