The estimate is that 15 million people in the US smoke Cannabis on a regular basis, which is about 5% of the U.S. population.

That number seems extremely low to me, so I wanted to take a cross section of these forums and come up with a percentage.

I'm sorry if anyone takes offense to this. You don't have to participate. I'm just curious. I will not be using this data for anything. It will not be published.

In light of the recent increase in exposure of the prevalence of hemp in our society through mainstream media, I decided to create this poll.

I'll say I'll do it every once in awhile with some buddies for the casual get together. Smoke a bit and then chill. Maybe once a month or longer it goes between using it.

Have tried it a handful of times, but never liked it. Gave me a bed spins type of sensation. I like my booze.

No. Not even on occasion. Stuff freaks me out so bad now, I'd decline no matter what.

It helps my anxiety, depression, social anxiety/awkwardness and anger. It has improved my grades because it helps me get crazy into whatever I am doing and gives me different perspectives (I take alot of philosophy courses).

Recreationally, I personally like the effects of it over alcohol. I don't like the wasted calories of alcohol and how I can't control what I am doing/thinking. The effects of marijuana, once you are seasoned, can be controlled. You have to realize all it is, is just a different perception. Once you learn how to percieve that way you know how to act.

I've always been smart about it too. I never drive with it or am out with it (Bill Clinton passed an awesome law where if you're caught with possession you can never get Financial Aid/Loans/Grants for college. Even though you can recieve all of those even after being convicted with murder.)
I normally use a vaporizer(You take in harmless vapor instead of smoke, so you don't damage your lungs).

It has definetly been more of a benefit than a burden.

Tried it before but Big army says no.

If they legallize it I wouldn't be able to smoke it due to someone's sensitive nose........But eat the THC laced products?

Damn straight.

Different strokes I suppose. The business environment of today with the insurance liabilities and with the scapegoat mentality, I get drug tested regularly. In addition, I havent in years and years and wouldnt. In the "old days", aka, the 70's there wasnt a drug, chemical or organic that I havent at least tried, and many of them, was a connoisseur. We did acid, mesc, smoke, THC, most anything to buzz. Back then it was the normal lifestyle. We never drove...used to sit in trees, on the edge of cliffs, train trestles, or water towers. Then there were the real parties..... Good grief. We used to buy Boones Farm by cases, end up with like 3 or 4 bottles apiece, each of us would drop a full four way into one of our bottles and drink up, never knowing which bottle it was in. Every so often a bottle would get mixed up and one of us would end up with two four way hits. I am surprised any of us made it. All of us that are living, have been drug free for many years. We used to do bongs until we literally passed out. IF I had it to do over, I would choose a different route, but yesterday is written in stone, so I have to mold my future with the experiences of yesterday. I dont regret it, yet I wasted alot of my life, wasted. The experiences of this world are far more enjoyable straight and there is much of the world I will not get to see. That is sad, yet I know that now and am making the best of the time I have left.

It was common to see who could take the biggest hit to purposely cough the hardest just for the head rush. At least that's what someone told me

There's a huge age differential on here (as ItsMe pointed out). I hate to sound like a hypocrite, but I'm glad to see so many said never did, never will. Then again, a sports forum may be geared toward a crowd of a different mindset. Ask the overall population, I think you'd see very different results.

Never have, never will. It probably helped to have a father who was in charge of the police dept's detective bureau for the village I grew up in. He knew everyone and in turn, whatever I did, he knew about. Don't know if you guys remember the idiot on the old boards who was serious about driving high.

Never have and never will use it, for both general and personal, familial reasons.

Lol that's exactly what I was thinking when I seen the title. I was like "Wow there's probally a few 10 year olds on here" I think being a seperate fan made forum makes the youngest age like 14 though, which is when most people are usually exposed to this kind of stuff.

My whole group of friends (6-8 'close') haven't (to my knowledge, but I doubt they could hide it) used drugs of any kind. No pressure to do any, and no "wow I got so wasted" stories. I know one or two who have drunk/drank/drink-ed  but nobody who's a flaming addict or a recreational user.

I'm not completely sure but this sounds fairly uncommon in this new age.

Bash all you want if you've never tried it, because your view on it means absolute shit.

You can say all you want how badly effects you or someone else, but if you've never experienced it, then how the fuck do you know how it effects yourself or one another?

Facts are Facts, more people die in drunk driving crashes than Pot crashes, more people get killed by sober drivers than ones doing some weed.

Keep your judgmental opinions away, because they are invalid and are worthless if YOU have never done it.
