It was great to see two Buffalo natives pushing through for the Sabres.

They were both flying all night, and I think we're fortunate to have such a unique situation.

Two home town boys, refusing to let the team they watched growing up lose.

How's that for pride?

I was on the phone with my father last night after the game, telling him that I have never felt as connected to a sports team as I do with these Sabres. Having two Buffalo area boys on the Sabres, playing together on the same line no less, makes following the team much deeper for me. Knowing that these guys grew up Sabres fans in Buffalo like we did...it really makes it special.

kaleta has been my fav sabre for a long time...kennedy is starting to grow on me....LOVE the fact that they are both buffalo boys...i hope kaleta can play his entire career out here....

i'm starting to take notice of this squad....kaleta in particular....he skates fast and hard, hits, kills penalties, was on the pp last night, and now is starting to put in goals....if he keeps it up, THIS is the kind of player you want on your team in the playoffs....can anyone say Claude Lemeuix (sp) ?

I think it was a combination of a loss of balance and standard procedure.

When you try for that quick little tap off a deke in one direction, you're looking to get the shot off as quick as possible to get the puck through before the 5 hole closes.

Sometimes, you have to elevate it because the goaltender keeps his paddle down, but in this case, Halak had to move too quickly to keep the paddle down, and Kaleta just buried it.
