There certainly used to be some decent Backgammon boards priced fairly when I used to play a bit; though that was back in the day.....

Fun game, though I never played it a lot.

Go to any type of "import store"- Chinese, Asian, Middle-Eastern, or otherwise.

There are all kinds of hand-carved, hand-crafted objects at phenomenally low prices...the US dollar can buy a hella piece of "third-world" labor.

I've bought about six backgammon or chess boards from such establishments, and they're all very intricate, unique and special to me.

Happy hunting.

It's a fun game! My mom used to play a lot in her bar tending years, so I've gotten pretty good at it. I don't really have suggestions on boards, but I know I saw one earlier at Walmart for a reasonable price.
