Sorcery charges are on the rise in Saudi Arabia. Often the penalty is death.

I am pretty tolerant of people's supersititions and religions (they are the same thing to me), but how do you do business with a group of people willing to execute folks for witchcraft in 2009? Honestly, if I were a diplomat or business person with dealings in Saudi Arabia I don't think I could resist asking, "what the hell is wrong with you people."

Just another reason why we need to get off of oil and let these people return to the desert.

The last 8 years of middle-east combat operations should have been in Saudi Arabia, not Iraq or Afghanistan.

Well...technically, the Moslem religion wasn't established until the 6th century -They should be about 600 years behind us, in their evolution as a social and political mechanism.

The fact that they're only 400 years behind gives me pause; and grants me some hope for a swifter evolution toward a more progressive period.

Actually...who's kidding whom? There is no such concept as Moslem Theology, due to it's "absolutist" doctrine. "The Word of Allah" is "The Word of Allah" and not open to debate - What's that? Interpretation?

....well. That's left to the more militant elements. And based on reactionary political doctrine. The passive and complacent will always remain the "silent majority".

Condorcet has a wonderful political theory about such phenomena. But, I digress.

Witches? Must be politically motivated. No more, no less. A form of Arab "Beria-Stalinism" that utilizes religion as its' primary motive force.

not enough people seem to realize that all this stuff that islam is doing (jihad = crusades, witches, et all the dogma) is the exact same thing that the other abrahamic religions have done years prior
