Is it just me or does anyone else find this obnoxious?

Yes, actually I do.

PSP, while I dont share your (overly? Thats debatable) optimistic view of our team, You clearly give a lot of thought to your posts, they're well stated, concise enough, and you arent a douche. You deserve at least to be met with a similar type response, not some picture saying your argument is invalid. Rbochan is funny, but...apparently doesnt feel like putting in any work in this thread.

You said "you all seem to think we've hit our ceiling"...which I think was very VERY apt, and pretty much summarizes how I feel at the moment. It does seem valid to say that we've hit our ceiling, our grinders are over-performing (at least relative to what we've seen in the last couple years) and our stars are underperforming, with the current status quo, we are at our ceiling of possibility. this team cannot be competitive in the playoffs if our "scorers" cant score. We dont seem to have any room for upward growth (as in, the team winning more games more decisively) without our top six acting like...top six.

I'll admit it is hard to naysay a team in third place in the conference, but can you honestly tell me the team we have right now can survive in the playoffs without our top six actually starting to reach towards their potential? And if our season truly is dependant upon our top six shaping up, do you really believe that come playoff time some magical switch will be flipped and these guys will be totally different players?

True...but given a title of "Crappinville. I mean pominshit. Whatever"...I never thought it would last this long.

You know...I really wish the NHL would give a bit of press to pommers amazing talent to somehow shoot the puck into the exact geometric center of the goalies chest.

I'm developing the theory that this constant shooting into the exact center of the chest is actually a piece of modernistic performance art. He thinks no one will figure it out, but it is actually his desperate attempt to live out his lifelong desire to be an artist, instead of the hockey player his father so desperately wanted him to be.

I think you would also agree that Roy and Connolly's playing time was limited back then compared to what it is now. Also, they've matured and improved other aspects of their games since then.

I'd like for you to start a separate thread on Timmah. I think we all held out thinking that if Timmah was given a full healthy year, he would produce. That thought just came and went. New thread
