If he would get a goal, an assist, SOMETHING. Maybe we wouldn't be so hard on him. Even Hecht has 12 points. ;)

All right. I think we're all justified in our criticism of Miller here, but I think our expectations are a bit overblown here. After all, Miller is only 3 assists of the league lead for goalies. And he's tied for the league lead in goals for goaltenders. That's not horrible.

The guy is paid 6.25 million. That's superstar money right there, and what do we get? He's constantly floating around at the other end of the ice. He never, ever joins the rush. Sure he's great at blocking shots, but for that kind of money you want more than a one-dimensional player right?

Ugh... this is making me sick just talking about him.

if ryan keeps staying in the net and not contributing offensively then i say do what our team did with our goalie in our street hockey league.....make him not wear a cup (our goalie chose to not wear one on his own)....then in practice, or pregame shooting - everyone fire slapshots at his nuts....(we got our goalie more than once, and it can't feel to good judging from his post nut-shot reactions)

Manning the machine gun on the Tyler Myers Bandwagon - just in case any teams have an idea of prying him away from us (3 GM's shot already)

I wish he would do something other than suck on a water bottle. At least Pominville shoots wide. Ryan never shoots at anything but the boards ;)

I bet if Miller were a forward he'd be a 60 goal, 120 point a season player. :)

You heard the story of when Miller told his dad he wanted to be a goalie? This is paraphrasing, but it went something along the lines of:

"You want to be a goalie? Go out there and make something happen offensively tonight and then we'll talk." And Miller had something like a 4 point night. Ryan knows what he wants and will work like an automaton to achieve it.

I remember that story. It was possibly a four goal night, but I'm not sure.

I want to see a Miller goal, and what celebration he would do.

In all seriousness, I think he wouldn't make a big deal out of it and be totally "Miller cool".

And then the camera would pan back to him and he'd be holding a picture frame up to his face...smiling ;)

I'd love a Miller goal. He'd probably turn around and take a drink out of his bottle like nothing happened.

He'll never shoot for it.

He's just not that type of goaltender. Plus, I kind of doubt he has the ability to play the puck all the way down the ice.

If Miller has a weakness, it's his abilities to play the puck outside of the goal.

Any goalie can do it... He can just shoot it down and it will glide on the ice, and he will do the glove thing, drink from his bottle, and turn his save button back on.
