I just put out an invite for my fb friends - invite at my HOUSE.

Make sure you see it and respond. If you're not on my facebook (Slesh, Ice, et al), reply to me via pm. I'll see what I can do if there is any interest and a Sabres game that night!!!!. I'm just trying to keep my mind off my kid leaving at 07:00 on January 2nd. Hit me up on fb or here via pm if you have too  I have limited space. if enough interest, bring a sleeping bag ;)

I'll most likely be watching it on my couch, depends on how tore up I get Thursday night.

This is of course, assuming that the game actually goes off. Last forecast I saw called for rain.

I just updated my fb as I'm not sure what time my son is leaving on the 2nd. It's starting to look like a flight out of B'lo at 7 a.m. which would make a gathering on 1/1 a no-go for me. I'll update here and fb when I get home from work tonight.

I didn't even know about the rain forecast :o That would really be a bummer if it's postponed.

Enjoy your couch all day :D

Thanks for offering Schony, I know, I know, Facebook. My sons keep tellin me the same dam thing :P .
Thank you for the invite, but I'll be in Nort Dakota for the New Years :( .
But, the bright side is, its business, which means money is moving in the economy again ;) .

Thanks again Schony for the invite, I told my wife before we move out to Colorado I would like to get together with this group of people. She laughed, she said, "You? The sour grape when it comes to this current team? They must have strong constitutions to tolerate your dumb ass attitude". :D

She hates it when I bitch about the team, but she says while I'm watching the games I'm totally different person, I'm cheering em on, giving that a boys and praising players. I wonder if people would call that bi-polar?

I have that "Making of a Classic" DVD, which is exactly what it sounds like. I thought somebody around here mentioned that the whole game was on a DVD all about Crosby. I want to look into that.

I was worried about that when they chose Boston. You never know what you're gonna get there. They were pushing it last year in Chicago, too. I know the New Years game is great for the NHL commercially, but some of these outdoor games are gonna have to be postponed every once in awhile, and that won't be pretty. Even if they choose a Canadian city (or Minn.) where there's no chance of rain, you could still have too much snow, or the ice could get too cold.

if i remember correctly that is what the first whole period and most of the game was. i wonder what crosby feels, this must be special. crosby, crosby, crosby. i was like it's in buffalo not pittsburgh how about you talk about the game or the sabres, and not that bloody crybaby.

I recorded ours in HD and then had it erased by a family member when the DVR got full. Same thing happened to the Bandits' championship game, for which I was in attendance and made it onto ESPN several times because I was right in the front. Que sera, sera.

I still have the original HD broadcast on my DVR. I was at the game, so I wanted to see it on TV when I got home.

I've preemptively issued a death sentence on anyone who deletes it.

Blech, there are a lot of things from that season I'd rather not watch again. Especially the blown leads

Lucky you - I wish I could get Time Warner's crappy DVR's to last that long. I'm on my third one in three years.
