My only question was how did Myers look tonight?

Considering the entirety of the Sabres scoring occurred over a span of 11 seconds...good puck-control. The whole team was shot-blocking and scrappy.

Stars: Patty LaLa - Patty K - Danny Paille

Honorable mention: Chris Butler - Tyler Myers (in spite of his "oops")

Brickbats: Jochen Hecht - Andrej Sekera - Mike Weber

The lone Washington goal went off his skate - But, he recovered and didn't look back. Very poised.

Tonight showed how much Butler and Myers' chemistry has developed so far. The answer to that is, very fucking much

The games are going to get more physical, as the season draws near - I'd really like to see both these guys get their noses dirty.

Take a few nasty hits - And, line up some whopper payback. Toughen up.

I want Myers to be paired with him during the regular season then.

I think Paille might have earned himself a spot in the lineup tonight. He was really good skating and moving with the puck. Gerbe still looks a bit overmatched to me.

Gerbe has been playing with more moxie, within context of the play, but I agree - he's still just too damn tiny. I don't care if he's built like a brick shithouse, he can't do much.

Paille played like the guy I've wanted him to, tonight. Patty K also played like a demon...his penalty kill skills are ridiculous. He had like seven blocked shots!

Patty K was looking like he could go 3rd-line, and get many more minutes. He and Goose and Grier, with Myers or Butler or Loods, on first penalty-kill would be awesome.

Its about time for Paille to start playing like an actual NHL player, it only took 3/4 years

EDIT: why is, its about time underlined.

That is about average for players who weren't stars already to become what they are expected to be.

3-4 years and then you can get rid of them or not.
