Excellent first save, they have to clean up that rebound.

Typical western conference game, they don't seem up to the physicality of this forecheck.

Is that sarcasm?

Godzilla pointed out once before, when it was brought up, that there is a direct correlation between their losing Saturday games and Saturday being the third game in fourth nights or the second game in a back-to-back, particularly the latter.

These aren't rookies anymore; they're men, most of them with wives and children.

I wish that perception would go away.

What a lengthy 5-on-3.

Well, it looks good once/if they enter the zone.

It's the quick and easy criticism. It's much easier to just assume they went out drinking until 4am than to look at the larger picture of an 82 game compressed schedule.

Awesome gameday production.

Of course it's sarcasm. I know most of them have curtailed their partying. They just appear very tired and lethargic tonight.

This game is raising my blood pressure - I hope something happens between periods to change their effort level.

Good.

I wonder if people will still be like, "OMG STOP PARTYING ON FRIDAY NIGHTS!!!" if we still have some of the same guys when they're thirty-five. :?

The only Sabres I've ever heard anything about are Stafford, Roy, and Connolly, anyway, and that's only during the offseason.

The other day a Sharks game was on the NHL Network, and because of the free I was able to watch it. Their intermission reports were so stupid, as in dumbed down, but then I remembered that they're basically trying to make everything for a Hockey 101 audience rather than seriously discuss the intricacies of the game.

It was odd.

The night Syracuse won the NCAA championship, a friend of mine sat next to Connolly, Denis Hamel, Jay McKee, and Rhett Warrener at the Buffalo Wild Wings on Elmwood.

I think between the 4 of them they probably had 10 drinks. Not getting crazy, just relaxing and enjoying the game.

Just because they go out once in a while, doesn't mean they're out getting hammered on a nightly basis.

See, that's the exact picture I was thinking of when I mentioned Roy's name. (Though I do believe that's MacArthur as well.)

It's a few years old, though.
