yeah, that's not good. That's why the rumors of Roy being gay came from last season

See, that's the exact picture I was thinking of when I mentioned Roy's name. (Though I do believe that's MacArthur as well.)

It's a few years old, though.

Not even a year.

Not even a year?

I remember seeing that picture posted on blogs I read during the 07-08 season and first half of last season. I haven't looked at them since, though I did try reading one the other day to find out that it no longer exists. That's how I learned of its existence. It's got to be at least a year old, likely older. I know it was posted here/the old boards later than that, but I'd already seen it by that point...

At a little past the halfway point the Sabres are on pace to finish with a 53-21-8 record (114 points), which would be almost identical to last year's Eastern Conference champs, Boston (they finished 53-19-10, 116 points) and President's trophy winner, San Jose (53-18-11, 117 points).

What's that mean?

That even great teams lose about 30 games a season.

There are still two periods left, but if the Sabres lose tonight - even if they get blown out - I'm not going to allow myself to get too bent out of shape.

I'd hope not, 'Zilla. They've won the last six games. Losing one is all right at that point, especially when you're got your backup in (though Lalime's been great). :P

Good job by Razor pointing out that the forwards are taking off up ice way too fast. Second time he's mentioned it tonight.

Very good observation.

He isn't what he was last year, that's for sure. I'm hoping it's just the sophomore slump.

I would be ok with a loss but my concern is the very weak first period play.

Ohhh man, that made people angry.

HOW DARE YOU HAVE A CRIBS: SABRES EDITION ON MY TELEVISION WHEN YOU'RE NOT EVEN IN THE PLAYOFFS RIGHT NOW

In retrospect, I think it's hilarious, like fans aren't supposed to be interested in the players purely because they're not in the top eight, when the Sabres are expected to have a great, personal connection with the community.

I still think the stuff they ran during intermissions in 06-07 and 07-08 is silly, but it's certainly not rage-inducing.
