Tallinder looked horrible last night. He had an off game and on atleast one of those Av goals he was directly to blame not Patty. Hey, it happens to everyone.

Damn you lalime! You need to get out the whoopin stick and beat some fight into your team. (in the 1st period at least)

I just saw the highlights and he obviously is not a great goalie on breakaways.

It's tough to be a very good shootout goaltender when you don't get many cracks at it, and you're going against shooters you've never seen.

Given the circumstances, I think he gave a respectable showing.

He isn't bad. He just needs to have better judgment as to where the puck is going to go.

When we got deep in the shootout, and got a goal lead, I was just hoping Lalime would stack the pads and flail like a crazy person and hope to god the puck hit him.

He did that one time. I was like, "What are you doing?"

I've decided that I like shootouts with bad one-on-one goaltenders better than those with good ones. They are not nearly as nerve wracking, knowing that if the other team scores it kind of means nothing.

And when we started shooting defensemen and forwards that have no shootout skills, I was like fuck it, just wind up the slapper at the top of the faceoff circles and try and punch a hole in Anderson.

lol that's exactly what I was thinking last night. He kept trying to do that roll thingy....

Shootouts really are stupid though. The game was so amazing and intense during that overtime. The whole arena was standing and cheering and "OH!"ing, and it was electrical. The shootout just ruined all that energy and slowed the game down.

Without the shootout, the game would have been over. That seems to be more than slowed down. :)

I wouldn't mind seeing a 10 minute OT, but whatever happens, no ties.

i like ties

i say, get rid of the SO, and the loser point

5 minute OT 4v4, folllowed by 3v3 OT

end of that, tie game

why reward a team because of a skills competition

We reward teams now for losing. Rewarding them for a skills competition isn't that far off.

lalime was good, i'd only say one goal was questionable, and that is very good to only have one goal you know you should have gotten. but yea tallinder had an off night. i think ruff had tallinder benched at one point of the game. at least we got a point out of it.

The absolute WORST thing the NHL can do now is go back to a system with ties.

Don't sell Bettman short like that. There are plenty of worse things he could do to the game.
