Now Savard is out with a knee injury, adding to Bergeron with a broken thumb and Ference with a groin injury.

I expected Boston to get healthy and come on strong in the 2nd half. Instead they are staying hurt, and maybe getting worse off. I don't think they'll pose a threat to Buffalo anymore, as long as Buffalo wins a few heads up. Buffalo still has several tough road trips to get through, but as long as they don't tank somewhere along the line they should wrap up a 2-3 seed. Cruel irony if they end up playing Ottawa.

I did not, and still do not see Ottawa (or Montreal or NYR) making the playoffs. The problem is, there are probably only two teams good enough to overtake any of those three (Philly and Atlanta).

Call me crazy, but I think we'd destroy Ottawa if we met them in the playoffs.

I was watching the Boston - Chicago game last night when he left the ice. I knew right away it was a knee, as the checkers knee caught him right on the outside of the knee - not terribly hard, but it was right in the worst place possible :!: I've had a torn ACL, and my knee hurt watching it.

I really do agree with you. The Sabres would come out flying if they faced Ottawa in the playoffs. They would seek blood and try to prove that their less than awesome performances against Ottawa in the regular season wrong.

Has a partial tear in his MCL. I've had this injury before. Really weird, because while it hurt, I could walk on it; though stability was an issue. You just know there's something wrong as soon as you try walking or skating as the case may be.....

You are not crazy, Ottawa always chokes in the playoffs no matter who they play.

Let's get a win against them in the regular season first.
