Shootouts are fun.

Everyone moans and groans when you lose them, but when you win them, the complaints are few and far between. ;)

I mean in the shootout, he needs to know where the guy will deke on certain plays... They can shoot too.

And we get a point from it, so it's ok if you lose it.

Last night's was really exciting, 11 rounds of WTF and OMG and LOL.

I usually don't bitch about the outcome...I usually bitch when they are happening beacuse they are too nerve wracking for me.

I'm a fan of the shoot out, It really adds a different atmosphere to the game and the fans. What I am not a fan of, is the S/O point (3rd point) I say, let the teams battle out the game. If it's tied, let them go to OT. If it's still tied, let them shoot for the full 2 points. This business of getting one point for making it to OT, I can't stand. It has been the cause of so many teams who wouldn't normally make the playoffs.

I dunno, IMO the whole process I like (OT + s/o). I just hate the point system.

Honestly, with the way Lalime was flopping on most of the Colorado attempts, I'm surprised they didn't roof it on him more often, and end the shootout sooner!

To his credit, he did poke check and not flop enough to keep them guessing. Still, if they played the odds, it wouldn't have gone so many rounds!

Hejduk's goal was the classiest of all of the goals without a doubt.

Vanek's always-beautiful around the world goal begs to differ.
