I dig it. Here's a worry - what if this idiot attends some Olympic games?

lol, I wouldn't be THAT much of a douche, should we lose some games or be on the lesser end of the scoreboard. I'd toss my popcorn and swear a lot, but I wouldn't go as far as this (these) idiot(s).

I agree with your post though, Phil. I'd pull the team off the ice as well. Also, I like the 3 strike rule too. The league or head staff at NHL rinks need to step in and implement something soon because now everyone is going to start buying the pointers and start this on the ice. It only takes one prick to ruin the game for everyone, and start more thorough handbag/coat searching at the gates.

Vancouver.

I can't believe they could not find the guy, he was sitting in like the 5 row at GM place.

If they put rules into place like that, I will follow Buffalo to every road game and shine the laser at Miller. I'll be very stealthy about it until finally the two points are awarded to Buffalo.

In all seriousness, that's exactly why the NHL wouldn't be able to put in rules to that extent. Fans of the away team would do it just to work the system in their favor.

How about the league creating a new 3 strike rule?

strike 1. play is stopped, PA system warns the audience, Security begins searching for the laser.
strike 2. home team (or the team not affected) is penalized a 2 minute minor.
strike 3. home team (or the team not affected) forfeits the 2 points for that game.

That would put a stop to this nonsense in short order.

until someone decides to do it to their own team in order to DQ the other team and steal 2 points.

My uncle is an usher at HSBC Arena and he says when people pull that crap during concerts, the culprit is usually found right away and immediately kicked out. But that's probably because at concerts they usually have extra security that watches the crowd at all times.

...and concerts usually have the house lights off so it'll be much easier to spot the culprit.

not really...b/c as a sabres fan, you could go into ottawa or where ever the sabres are playing, and hit miller/lalime with the laser and the sabres would win the game

They should just find the culprit, and hold him until after the game or when intermissions start up, bring him into the locker room with the team he was shining the laser on, and tell the team to just not kill him, but a few good punches to his face is all he needs to never do this again.

Or just shine the laser in his/her face while they are trying to do there job and see how much he/she likes it.

He could at least say he met the team with a bandage wrapped around his face.
