-Carolina wins 4-2 over the Laffs
-Isles win 6-0 over the Red Wings -holy crap. WTH?
-Devils win 1-0 over the Rags in a SO -Rangers never scored, not even in the shootout
-Flyers 6-3 over the Stars
-Trash 6-1 over the Scumbags -
-Tampa Bay 7-4 over the Caps
-Blues 4-1 over the Jackets -the Blues won at home? What?
-Nashville winning 4-0 over the Oil in the 3rd -ouch. That is all.
-Sharks up 3-0 on Phoenix at the 2nd intermission

I want to talk about the Lightning/Caps game. Caps are down by 3 late in the 3rd. Steve Downie and Alex Ovechkin start to mix it up. Then push, and then both drop the gloves and Ovie takes off his helmet for the fight. Then boom -Matt Bradley streaks in and just starts raining punches on Downie.

I hate this. If Ovie really is the Captain, then why wouldn't he fight Downie? It's not like they needed him for the rest of the game. The game was already decided. I get that they don't want him injured, but come on. This is ridiculous.

My brother was at that game. He said it was a great game. Most goals scored for Tampa. We get to hold our #2 position in conference.

If you would have told me that the Sabres would be #2 in the conference, and ahead of the Caps at this point in the season, I would have called you crazy. Let's go Sabres!

where is your post does it say that Ovi was unwilling to fight Downie? According to you, it seems like Ovi was set to fight but Bradley jumped in.

did i miss something?

I wasn't dissing Ovie. He was totally willing to go. I'm just wondering why Bradley wouldn't let him.

Downie is a dork but seriously why is Ovechkin out there when the game was decided? Bruce Boudreau is so stupid for having him out there, I would have loved to see and OV and Downie fight because they can both act like douches (is that eve a word).

The Devils - Rangers game was one the most epic (regular season) games I've ever watched.

For a game that didn't even have a real goal, it was ridiculously good.

I think for the plural form of douches, you would go the way of "Douche Bags"

I watched a bit of the Islanders/Red Wings game and the Wings looked like complete zombies out there. Pathetic...really holding up to the "Hockeytown" name eh guys?

Downie had just gotten a decent hit on OV and OV's stick broke. He went to the bench for a new stick and made a b-line for Downie. Downie saw it coming at the last second and it was even contact and then they started to grapple with each other and both went to the box.

As soon as they left the box, with about 4 mins left, they started jawing and they dropped the gloves. Bradley jumped in immediately but got the worse end of the fight, although it wasn't much of a fight. I was about to be really happy watching 1)OV get pissy while his team was getting stomped 2) see someone stand up to him when OV wanted to take a run at somebody because he was cranky and 3) see the same guy torch him in a fight. Bradley had to go and ruin it though.

It's ok, they play lotsa more before the season's over.
