Last leafs Sabres preseason game i went to the leafs where up by two and the couple in the leafs jerseys next to me where like don't worry they'll choke. nice people, told them of a couple nice restaurants around here, they told me some must do's in toronto. definitely not your typical sabres leafs fan relationship. Oh and the leafs did choke.

I've never watched a game on an online feed before, are they good quality?

Depends, some are good some are bad, sometimes you can't make it out clearly and sometimes you can, most of them are the quality of a regular youtbe vid of decent quality, and some are the HQ quality of youtube.

Never had a perfect clear one, but some are pretty good to watch.

Sweet; one of the few times living out of the area is an advantage.

I'll just leave this here

Make Belief some more if you think Kessel will solve your problems on offense Brian! Grabovski? Second liner at best

Isn't Kessel out injured still? I believe he's out for another month still.

Burke is supposedly trying to put a squad together like The Sabres teams of the late ninetees; at least that's what they're saying in Toronto.

Tough to do this successfully sans Dom Hasek though.....

Sep. 20, 2009 - 12:31 p.m. ET

Phil Kessel seems thrilled to be a Maple Leaf.

In a press conference Saturday Kessel said the following, "I wanted to be here, hockey is 'it' here, I love that about this city. Obviously there will be pressure on me, but I'll work as hard as I can to help this team out, hopefully get us in the playoffs and go as far as we can." Kessel seems ahead of schedule in his recovery from shoulder surgery. He now believes he will be able to play by the begining of November, a full two weeks earlier than originally thought. Kessel may struggle out of the gate due to the injury and the usual growing pains when a player joins a new team. He also will not have a supreme playmaker, such as Marc Savard, to set him up. Kessel may be the most talented offensive player on the Buds, but temper your expectations at least for this season.

Source: Toronto Sun

Good call Howie, so he's aiming at early Nov. to make a debut when the rest of the team has had a chance to gel, come together and find new and improved way's to lose.

Then he can take all the media attention on that shoulder he had corrected :P

September 23, 2009Tonight's Sabres rosterThe Sabres' game group hit the HSBC Arena ice at 9:30 this morning and here's the list of players scheduled to meet the Leafs tonight:

Goalies: Ryan Miller, Jhonas Enroth

Defense: Steve Montador, Toni Lydman, Henrik Tallinder, Chris Butler, Nathan Paetsch, Andrej Sekera, Tyler Myers.

Forwards: Cody McCormick, Derek Roy, Daniel Paille, Drew Stafford, Jeff Cowan, Mike Grier, Paul Gaustad, Jason Pominville, Matt Ellis, Clarke MacArthur, Philip Gogulla, Jochen Hecht, Tim Kennedy.

Getting the night off are Mike Weber, Tim Connolly, Thomas Vanek, Patrick Kaleta, Nathan Gerbe and Craig Rivet.

Notes on the roster: It's Montador's first game (he's had a neck stinger), while Myers, Kennedy and Butler will all make it 4-for-4. Miller will play the full 60 minutes.

The Leafs' roster: Vesa Toskala and Joey MacDonald are scheduled to be in goal. The defense corps will include Luke Schenn, Garnet Exelby and Ian White and the forwards will include Niklas Hagman, Matt Stajan, Alexei Ponikarovsky, Jason Blake, John Mitchell, Mikhail Grabovski and top draft pick Nazem Kadri, the seventh overall choice in Junei. Not scheduled to dress are veterans Jeff Finger, Mike Komisarek, Lee Stempniak, Tomas Kaberle, Wayne Primeau, Francois Beauchemin, Colton Orr

Also, the game will be televised on the NHL Network -- but it's blacked out in Buffalo even though there's no MSG telecast. Regional network exclusitivity rules. Boo. One of the referees is St. Francis product and Buffalo native Chris Ciamaga.

Looks good for Myers and Kennedy, bad for Gerbe and Weber.

I'm fired up.

What ETC said

Lindy said during today's Ice Chips that Tyler Myers is ready to play in the NHL right now, but that he isn't sure he's ready for a full season. To me, this says, "He's getting his 10 game tryout and we'll go from there".
