Objectively, I think the '80s was the best decade to be a kid, looking at the past century.
This!
Today, parents plunk their kids down in front of the TV/computer, get them this game or that game and wonder why their kids are lethargic, have no get up and go and turn into things similar to the mindless zombies they're killing in said games.
When I was a kid, growing up in the 80's was awesome! We made our own games, built our own rinks, we were active on our own without having it being shoved down our throats, we loved the out doors and when we fell out of the tree, skinned our knees or took a puck/stick to the face, we weren't pampered. Our folks just looked at us to make sure nothing was broken or bleeding too badly and said, "That'll learn ya".

As part of my wanting to experience this again, I can't wait to finish building, "T&D Memorial Auditorium"! Cold weather this weekend + water hose + Sabres decals for center ice = my own Winter Classic!

This, is going to be awesome!
