first off...love the knick for this kid.....i saw it reading a hockey article somewhere, then i saw PSP had the two avatars with "The Big Easy" in it.....I think it fits perfecty....he is big (soon to be mean too - hehe ;) ), and he makes playing hockey look so easy....he is so calm, cool, and collective with the puck out there....and he skates so gracefully, and effortlessly out there (Hey Soupy, Your spinorama's got nothing on The Big Easy~~! )

I can't stop getting chills when i think about this kid.....he has a VERY VERY bright future....i've never called it out before, or can't remember anyone ever talking about it this early in someone's career, but....

future hall of famer (barring major injuries, etc.) ? maybe even better than hall of famer?

this kid is going to be good....scary good

Tyler Myers - Future captain of the Buffalo Sabres, and future Norris Trophy Winner

Manning the machine gun on the Tyler Myers Bandwagon - just in case any teams have an idea of prying him away from us (3 GM's shot already)

Connolly/Roy - 2 goals in the last 47 playoff games

For those times that the Stanley Cup appears to be locked in an impenetrable safe that says, "Keep out Buffalo Sabres," you can always count on Big Easy.

Has Myers ever acknowledged the nickname? If so, what does he think of it??

I'm sure he likes it more than Brian Campbell liked Soupy.

Myers is our stud defender, and everyone wanted to trade for one.

Who in their right mind could have seen a 19 year old rookie turning stud his first season?

He's also one of the first to chug those wheels back into the defensive zone to negate an odd-man rush. He is rarely out of position for more than a second, and he skates like the dickens back into position. He can jump up whenever he wants.

Well Phil, it helps when you can cover the distance of the entire nuetral zone in 2 strides

The big easy automatically makes me think of man ho's. I'm not in love with the nickname, but that's moot. He's the real deal, crappy nickname or not.

I'm still very partial to Tyler Tall and Tyler Small for the boys from the Dub, but Big Easy is really growing on me.
