How about that...Miller is no surprise, but the fact that Myers is already being widely considered one of the NHL's Top 4 defensemen halfway through his first season really says a lot.

Norris and Calder? Don't laugh...it really could happen. He may even get a few votes for Hart.

On NHL.com they had a news post on who would be the NHL all star starters and they had Miller and Meyers as starters (and now I can't find the link, but it was picked by Matt Barnaby...so go figure)

Not shocking in the least, though I think it's a bit much to be considering Myers for the Norris. I am not sure, though, if it's that in my mind he's not worthy, or if it's that because he's a rookie I think it's too early, even though he is deserving. I do believe, though, that it's split in the middle when it comes to those scenarios for those who don't think he should be nominated, though the latter is mostly subconscious and goes largely unnoticed by most people who consider it. The fact that he is a rookie has been stated in a lot of posts on HFboards, for example, from those arguing against a potential nomination for him. They also mention that others such as Keith are more deserving, but the fact that that he's a rookie is brought up as often as it is in those discussions gives me pause.

I hope the kid can keep it up.

As for Miller, he should be a lock for the Vezina and the Hart.

myers starting....ahhhh that just made my day....getting goose bumps again.....

i forgot about the all star game and even considering myers....but yes he should definitely be on the squad without question.....

i don't think you can win the norris and calder in the same year.

if myers wins the calder he could win the hart but i don't think the norris.

Miller could win the vezina and the hart.

has something to do with scoring trophies vs. other trophies.
