This was a nice combination tonight. Buffalo starting strong, and Phoenix unable to handle the Sabres' speed. Not to put a damper on a good effort, but Phoenix has been struggling the last 8-9 games, including Bryzgalov. Their defense looked either slow or lazy, allowing Buffalo forwards way too much space down low. It was real nice to see the top two lines get some points for their efforts, especially the Hecht-Connolly-Pominville line. Great game from Vanek as well.
