I think we're going to have to just fire away shots...their GAA is just over 3, while ours is barely over 2, with about the same SA average. They've had some pretty high scoring games, and I'd be upset if Lalime was in net, since it would almost guarantee a 4+goal per team performance....that's entertaining and all, but I'd really like to see them shut down.

Awesome! How old is she?

She's 4 and totally excited.
When I got our tickets in November, I told her we were going to a Sabres game "after Christmas".
Her response?
"I want Christmas to get here faster so I can go to the hockey game."

I took my little girl to her 1st game last year when she was 4 (she just turned 5 last week). She made it until the 2nd intermission, which isn't too bad considering the blaring noise of the arena rock and how long she had to sit. She still talks about it today, and I'll probably take her to the game in March.

My son is just 3, so he'll need to wait another year.

Hrrm...I hadn't considered the prospect that she may not make it through the game.
Yeah it'll be after her bedtime but I always assumed the noise and excitement would keep her awake and not bored.

Maybe she'll be OK, but the over/under is meltdown around the 2nd period horn. :D

Some of the Sabres games make me feel like going to bed at the second intermission :o :o

If she has the Crosscheck genes, I am sure she will be on the edge of her seat for three periods - I had friends who had their two yr old out ice fishing this past weekend for four hours, and she was nothing but smiles the entire time.

Good luck with the first game Cross, and I'll drink extra heavy for a sacrifice, hoping for an exciting game.

Now, beat them ducks first!! 8-) :D :D

Once again, I will use my reverse psychology superstition to wish the team the best.
Instead of 12 - 0 Buffalo, I will say 4 - 2 Buffalo. Connolly only nets 2 points this game (This could mean 4) and Stafford nets a pair (This could mean Mair nets 1).

So, in the final analysis of my prediction for this game, Roy gets his first hat trick of this season (this could mean MacArthur nets 2 but is a negative 4 and The Grier-Gaustad connection hook up for a 7 point night on the PK) and Rivet finally gets his 1st goal of the season (this could mean Montador serves 2 5 minute majors for fighting).

In the end, Buffalo 14 - Anaheim 0 (unless they score a goal, in turn confusing the Sabres Defense, thereby forcing Kevin Sylvester to studder while calling the game, Vanek and Pomminville putting in 4 total PP goals and Harry Neale actually to say something new that really does fit the situation he speaks of on the general subject of the puck moving in a certain direction without deflections, kick-ins, hand passes or head pucking as well as Myers netting 2 points and going +9 in the game).

Seems to make sense. I like it.

Joshua's first game was on his fourth birthday (11/1/08 4-0 shutout over the Caps :D) and he was fine the whole game. He even got into the spirit, yelling at Caps on their way to the box and chanting "Let's Go Buffalo!".

He gets so excited at the very words "going" "to" and "game" that we have code words in my family for "Alright, I'm goin to the game"

OK, conundrum night for me. My Ducks need the points desperately, and they are playing well right now. How about a tie that has the Ducks winning in OT?? I'm probably the only one that likes this idea, huh?
