Myers won't suck due to jet lag. Food poisoning couldn't bring him down. Maybe that can lead to a new nickname for Myers: The Roach. Nothing slows him down.

I'm pretty happy so far. With an 80 minute effort packed into 60 minutes in Phoenix, I'm ok with them recouping that 20 minutes in the first period against Anaheim. I don't know if Lindy promised the team they could have sex with Hasek's wife between periods or what, but they came out strong and hard the 2nd and 3rd periods of that game, too. 2/3 of a game ain't bad, and we've now seen what they can do when they're "on".

Don't get me wrong, I would have loved nothing more than a come from behind win last night, and I think it was 'Zilla who said in the GDT, "This was a team we should have beat", over all I'm good with how we've come out over all so far in general. Most times, as we seen last season, it's the teams which we should beat that normally give us the hardest times. Obviously the first 20 min. last night really stunk up the joint, but looking at how they played the last 40, hopefully they can maintain that piss & vinegar for the next 3 games.

6 points remaining on this trip folks, we should be able to nab at least 4 of those.

We're playing good. I wholly expected a loss last night; it was the second night of back-to-back with a 355mi trip playing later at night than they're used to while dealing with jet lag. For them to come out the way they did (in the 2nd and 3rd), I was tickled pink.

And I love Lalime to death, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Biron.

While I agree they took the first period off (obviously) and came out with mega huge raging hockey boners in the second, the third was pretty lackluster. The guys LOOKED like they were freakin exhausted, skating slow, losing mental focus, they just looked beat. hell, how many passes in the third were actually executed? It felt like every one either was behind/ahead of the intended target...or if it WAS on target the receiver didnt have the hands right then to settle it onto his stick. What looked like classic signs of a breakdown of mental acuity. I dont blame them, back to back games...the second one at 10pm? Fuck that, I'm not gonna complain.

Well San Jose doesn't really play that bruising type of style...Could work in our favor.

If anything, I'll take the positive that that they had to fortitude to reach back and make it competitive at least, although yet again they left Lalime out to dry. I was hoping they were past that.

Still, was an 11 game point streak. I can live with a clunker that breaks streaks like that up.

First time I've seen us win the physical battle against the Ducks. Very encouraging, even in a loss.
