Is there anywhere that I can find videos of old Sabres games from the 70's and 80's? I've tried youtube, but they don't really have that much.

Ask Ferret. He has thousands of old games on tape.

yeah that's going to be tricky....VCR's weren't in wide use until the mid-80's or so, and even then you'd have to know someone sitting on all those tapes.

Unless someone made a real effort to preseve the old tapes, they're probably not in very good condition. I would doubt there's much of anything - outside of what we've seen - that is of much use, quite honestly.

Such a shame; I could watch players like Gil Perreault and Bobby Orr endlessly.

ferret won't share. I offered to buy playoff games from 2005-2006 and he was afraid of getting into copywrite trouble.

That sounds like our ferret! Good egg at heart; I miss his views on hockey in general. His political views perhaps not so much...... :D

There is a DVD copy of the 1989 - BUFFALO SABRES vs. Soviet RED ARMY Game on eBay for $10.00.

Not much, but there you go.

Years ago I bought the '93 Buffalo Bills-Houston Oilers wildcard game on VHS from a guy on eBay who had recorded it. I think eBay has cracked down on that kind of thing, or maybe people just don't offer the bootleg stuff anymore.
