So, with the second half of the season well under way, who looks to take this team by storm this season and lead the pack to the finish?

Patrick Kaleta will keep up his current goal scoring pace and leave the rest of the team in his wake.

I wanna pick Myers just to be an annoying sonofabitch :D but I won't :P

Just for shits and giggles, I'm going with Jochen "The Resurgent German" Hecht.

The way Hecht is going, I don't see why he wouldn't be. Definitely my surprise winner of the season.

Realistically, I'd go with Timmah, but with the way the HCP line is playing, it could wind up being any of the three. So I picked the least expected of the linemates :D

Hecht(Hot) Connolly(Chili) Pominville(Peppers)

The line is fucking hot, the first letter of their names matches perfectly with Hot Chili Peppers, so Red Hot Chili Peppers just works man!

I doubt it'll catch on, but I'll be using it like it's going out of style

Pommers just got my vote. I've got a feeling about him.

I picked Vanek, he is still our best goal scorer on the team.

I picked Poms as well. Connolly, while on a tear, seems to have found his vision and playmaking ability. I expect he'll still get his fair share of goals, but I think he'll be setting up #29 for the one-timers. Vanek will probably still remain somewhat cool. Hecht, while doing well, never has had great finish. Too many of his goals need to come from weird angles or off his shin.

The one line that has emerged and probably won't get broken up for the rest of the season is Hecht-Connolly-Pominville. With Connolly in full stride, Pominville is the one that will benefit the most.

I'll say Pominville with 25 goals, and the others (Connolly, Hecht, Roy, Vanek, Stafford, MacArthur) get 17-24.

I'm conflicted, because I love peppers, and I despise pominville....

How about Red Hot Chili Pantywipes?
